I could help suggest tropes and such, though I don't actually have a tropes account.

Likewise. I'm wary about troping my own creations and characters, but I'd be happy to throw up troped examples if needed.

Right, so. Deadline for this month on post.
I'm going to set up a poll. I was originally going to start working on it by December 1st, but that's now and there's still a few people who need to post. I'd like to see what you guys consider to be your limit in terms of waiting limits.

I'm good for doing it ASAP, even though I haven't myself posted yet - just need the Johnny interaction scene before I can post it.

Side note that has almost nothing to do with the game itself - reading the woes of the people in the Skyrim thread who download several dozen mods but then overload their computer with them, I realized Joan could very feasibly play Skyrim with every mod ever installed on the Monitor :P

Indeed she could.
In other news...

I've been making plans. This will probably come after the Johnny interaction thing. Sorry for leaving you all out in the cold on that one, I really haven't been tending this as I should.

I just noticed, that I have not, as erronously thought before, posted.

I might rectify this situation soonish.

It's good for Jack to get rattled every now and then. Girl was getting too assured of her own power.

(Though, it's not like she tried to attack the Mysterious Jerkasses in any way. Could be they're total lightweights! Who wants to try? Come on, it'll be fuuuuun.)

It turns out that Gods all have a natural weakness to sucker punches.

To be fair though, I'm completely lost on where supposed to be going on.

So yeah, I think I'll have to reread the thread. Might even make a summary.

That would be immensely handy for me as well. I have the feeling I have a pretty good grip on where all the threads are going. However...
This train may or may not be in my control and it doesn't have any brakes.

The fact that it is a train, implies that it has rails, which implies a limited amount of directions. It also implies it's going to be late, or never arriving in case of a light snow.

Clearly, your metaphor is stiffling my creativity.

True. The Age of Fire is actually probably one of the least railroaded story-based games I've ever done. Here's a better metaphor vehicle: boat. It can go in several directions which would lead to surprisingly different results, but it won't go up except for brief periods while skipping along high waves and if it goes down something horribly wrong is happening.
I would say it's a speedboat, but with my update times and the size of said updates, it'd more like a cargo ship.

It is to everyone's great surprise, I'm a paranoid fucker. Tempted to continue with 'Further conclude the meeting'.

I've been wondering - we could do any variety of minor magic/godly tricks (summoning up a flame, a little illusion, making your voice scary) free of cost, right? They'd fit Jack's theatrical personality. I vaguely remember - that's how long this game has been going on - including some 'maybe magic, maybe mundane' flavor before, but pretty much always part of an Act post, so. Are we go for useless theatrics to impress petty mortals?

Go right ahead. The monthly format actually implicates that your power got a bit of a boost. Go ahead with the minor magical tricks; it suits since you guys have all pretty much set yourselves up, or with our most recent player, had a different level of power to begin with. Though considering all the weird shit that's been happening, you might get a similar response to the one Johnny had to Merlin.
