The "What is the Fortress of Loathing" title in the OP has a typo so that it's "FOrtress", here's a fixed version:

Also, is this an adventurer mod or a Fortress (of Loathing) mod?

Thanks for the typo fix  ;) And yeah, the mod right now doesn't have enough content to support adventure mode. The more creatures and familiars and stuff get added the more interesting it will be for an adventurer, simply said.


You'd better grab an extra waterskin for this! Meet four new creatures ready to rip your head off:
Cactuary - animated cactus - drops cactus fruits and giant cactus quills
Giant Giant Giant Centipede - doesn't drop anything right now, really
terrifying Fire Ants - drop ant agonists, ant picks and ant pitchforks
and finally... a rock! ...but wait, it isn't a rock -- it's a Rock Scorpion, the biggest, baddest, and most muscular of all scorpions. (drops scorpion whip)

You might be able to combine it with the resurection interacion to also transform the resurected creature, but I wouldn't know the best way to go about that.

also...

Ascension and Afterlife is somewhat done. With "Ascend!" characters who have collected enough boss trophies (not sure yet how to acquire them, though) will turn into Astral Spirits which can't be killed. "Returning as.." will work only with astral spirits. I'm quite happy with it so far.

Actually, that's wrong. The lower bound on the upper bound is 2 to the 15th-1; the upper bound is 2 to the 32nd-1; my guess is what I said earlier.
