Think of it as motivation for someone, anyone, to start working a little bit more efficiently :P

But more seriously, you'd be better off skipping the relaxing and spending more time working on the trinket, wouldn't you? Your happiness will go down a bit, but you'll get it before you get depressed and then you can be back up to full happiness in two turns, plus potential other benefits of having those actions free (like opportunities to socialize or something).

I'd be in the same place regardless, as I'd have to spend time relaxing/socialising after making the trinket in order to get back up to full again.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

I'd be in the same place regardless, as I'd have to spend time relaxing/socialising after making the trinket in order to get back up to full again.

You're doing the math wrong.

Here, let me do a simpler example:

You get 2 actions per turn and have 5 happiness (-1 per turn). ItemA costs 4 turns to make and gives you 1 happiness per turn.
Your approach:
1 action to counter happiness loss, 1 to ItemA. x 4
In 4 turns, you will have: 5 happiness, ItemA, and 0 actions.

My approach:
2 actions to ItemA x 2 (Now at 3 happiness)
2 actions on turn 3 to increase happiness (Now at 5 happiness)
In 3 turns, you will have: 5 happiness, ItemA, and 0 actions.

That's a full turn's worth of savings for my simplified model, but the effect is true writ large. It's about investments. The sooner you finish making the investment, the sooner you start seeing returns. By dragging it out, your only hurting yourself.

Or 1 each if fractional research is impossible.
Research costs are rounded down. So you can put a full 2 to those fields.

Can multiple people work together on the same project?

No, but larger multi-component projects later on will practically require multiple people taking on different pieces and then sharing the knowledge with each other.

Remuthra, where did you get the food from last turn that prevented you from starving? Because I'm not seeing a source. I'll happily process your prospect, but not that it means you'll spend last turn starving.
