I am absolutely sure that Donbass War will last for decades just like Nagorno Karabakh war but with far more causalities both because Donbass has larger population just because Ukraine and Russia have larger armies with more deadly toys than Armenia and Azerbaijan

I see no scenario that will stop the war.

War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.

In another instance of me providing German English-language articles on the Eurozone crisis, I present to you this.

The translation is fairly bad, and the article is not too great either, but it's better than nothing.
Yeah, this kind of stuff is awful, no argument there.
I think this might be due to economic globalization being unparalleled by social globalization. They feel the latter is not going to happen with to the EU; I guess you disagree with that assessment, and I guess even for good reasons.

I am of the opinion that people should organize in the smallest units necessary. The idea of nations and the European Union just doesn't mesh with that – too inflexible and largely arbitrary in scope.

The mixed feelings of the Left towards deeper integration within Europe are nothing new.
If my ideas are anywhere close to what these people's intuitions are, no wonder they have mixed feelings about deeper integration.

Quote
It doesn’t seem to worry them that their rhetoric and ideologies are moving ever closer to the extreme right.  "Brussels does not dictate to us!" is now the slogan that unites right- and left-wing nationalists.
Yeah, you're right, this article really isn't that great. First, this does worry leftists quite a bit; second, it's hardly like this is a position that is common to leftist politics.

but it's better than nothing.

It is?

A story about how the left came to see the EU as a neoliberal monstrosity without mentioning that the EU has become a neoliberal monstrosity is sort of missing the point.  It's the same tired old story, claim that you are in defense of X, and then when people get angry at you for fucking X three ways sideways, you claim they are against X.  In this case, "internationalism".  I love internationalism, it's just what's going on in the EU sure as fuck aint that.

If the anti-vaxers were endorsed by the NIH, WHO and most of the world's most famous doctors.

Sure - I for one like it when I occasionally get to hear non-Anglo-Saxon drivel in addition to the Anglo-Saxon drivel that is the norm.
I think this might be due to economic globalization being unparalleled by social globalization. They feel the latter is not going to happen with to the EU; I guess you disagree with that assessment, and I guess even for good reasons.
Well, we can debate all day long about whether the EU is a first step (!) in that direction or not, and we probably should - my problem with these guys is that they do not present any sort of alternative. "Muh sovereignity" has been extensively investigated as an option, and it turns out it isn't.
(And I feel it's worth mentioning that in a Europe of nations Greece would be fucked even harder than it is right now.)

The goal of Germany domination over Europe, of course.

At least that's what LW would say, I guess.

German spaghetti over Europe? That doesn't make any sense.

He, that reminds me of "Where our fathers go", a great silent comic about immigrants.

It is from a great silent comic about immigrants. Shaun Tan's 'The Arrival'.
