The Liberal Democrats will basically not exist after this election according to the exit polls.  I thought it was weird that their level of polling support was still so high after they were so completely useless with the power they got last election.  So it makes a lot of sense to me that they are getting doing worse then the polls.

I think it's supposed to be trying to play to the 'UKIP is a poor downtrodden underdog' narrative that UKIP tries to peddle whenever they get criticized.
