The St. Petersburg Comittee of Soldier's Mothers, who had been asking questions about wounded and dead soldiers, has been officially labelled "foreign agents", according to the Russian press agency, Interfax.

Seems like we don't need to do anything against Russia. They'll lose the war for us.
"JOIN THE RUSSIAN ARMY NOW, AND WE WILL LABEL YOUR MOTHER A TRAITOR!" Yeah, sounds like that will convince a lot of people to join.

They don't even have to ask, actually. Every male citizen from age 18 to age 27 is obligated to serve in army for a year, unless he attends university or he is a cripple.

And, as a Moscow dweller, f**k St. Petersburg anyway.

EDIT:
Seems like we don't need to do anything against Russia. They'll lose the war for us.
I heard that Bismarck was saying that too. Almost two centuries ago. Actually, almost anyone who encountered Russia in any kind of war ended up saying that. Russia is still here. Now we wait...

Well according to this (beware russian language) the people who said the things about 400 soldiers killed had a long history of nefarious actions (stealing the money intended for others) before.

And again with predictions of "russia will defeat itself"? How many times do you need to be shown that Russia will not defeat itself?

Are you going to simply sit there and do nothing while Russian soldiers are invading a European country?

And India today certainly is better than India during colonial times. Not good, but better.

I don't know enough about colonial India to comment on that (and I think that neither do you), but really - when you're buried in a ten meter deep shithole, does it really matter that some other shithole is fifteen meters deep? 1890's London was not a good place to be. West Europe before socialism was not a nice place to live. It was not a civilized place. How it was a better place to be compared to Russia can be measured only by how well they eventually managed to climb out of their respective shitholes, unless you want to start a hypothetical plague-or-cholera discussion of whether feudal slavery is worse than wage-slavery.

I won't be happy until I see some real action from you guys.

If it'll again be empty words then... I mean, I can't make a revolution in a country whose army is constantly winning! It's the basics!

You do realise you aren't talking to any representatives for any western/Nato/EU countries, right? Nor any personifications of those countries?

By saying "you guys" he intends to say "your countries," I'd imagine.

I thought your countries were democracies? That the people's will is something which is listened to? Or is it just a lie?

In a dictatorship the governement make you shut up, in a democracy they merely don't listen.

And why exactly EU\NATO should care about invasion in Ukraine from realpolitic point of view?

It would be a problem if war with Ukraine can make Russia stronger in some way. It is obvious that opposite is true.

It makes their big Anti-Air/Anti-Missile installations in Europe much more vulnerable to a sudden strike...
Also it makes NATO and EU look like somebody who cannot enforce the international laws i.e. weak. That's a big prestige loss. And prestige matters in realpolitic.

It's not so much a lie, as it is dysfunctional. As long as the majority of voters are too busy debating who will win the next songfestival / who will be banged by whom in the next episode of As the World Burns / which cute puppy picture deserves the most likes, instead of actually educating themselves on what exactly it is they are voting for, and discuss this with their peers, and as long as they are, by means of selective exposure, conditioned to be more outraged by foreign injustice than by societal issues at home, it will remain so.

Anti-Air\Anti-missile argument is silly, because Russian army is nowhere a threat for NATO in conventional warfare.

As for prestige... It is indeed a loss, but Russia loses more when you talk about reputation losses.

London, a good place to live? That's just crazy talk. Not enough work and too many easily replaceable workers, no rights, no health care, no work safety, no social services, wage slavery, debtor's prisons, insanely harsh punishments for even small crimes, smog everywhere, vermin everywhere, diseases everywhere, horseshit everywhere.

Sounds like a lovely place.
WHat horseshit? Oh you were talking about the 19th century?
Well at least now one of those problems is gone.
EDIT: I'm not bashing London, most wealthy countries are going back in that direction, you guys just have a head start.
