Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

Yeah, the sheer number of enemies and the variety of weapons is tricky. I wonder if perhaps Alexander should move south after all; having an actual tank down there would help the odds immensely. Then again, if the east or west groups need to fall back to the temple, there should be someone there with vulneraries to assist.

So many variables...

@Culise... and everyone, really: Chris has a crossbow, and I'm thinking about using it - that is, moving down to just in front of the inn sign and shooting that spear user. I can't do too much else from where I'm at since my movement is six spaces. Good idea to do that, yes or no?

Thanks HaspinHaspen, good to know. Just need to figure out a Name and Bio now, everything else is figured in. I went for a class that isn't already represented so as to not step on any toes.

Hmmm, odd.  Shouldn't I be at 14,6, or did I miss something when I put my order in?  It doesn't really matter this turn, I think.

Someone else was at 14,6 when you were moving, so I've put you as close to that as possible :P
OK.  I could have sworn Alex had moved out of the way already when I posted my order, but it looks like that wasn't the case.

Mmm, tricky.  If you (16-8), Olison (15-8), Derick (14-8-1), and Seyena (15-8) all focus on him, we still can't take him down in a single turn (26 HP) without a lucky crit (but, that Shamshir does have a 20% base Crit...).  It's definitely possible, but a bit of a gamble, and either way, we'll be taking a lot of hits from him just as team East comes racing in if we fail to dodge.  It'll also force Raquel and Ami to stay back to avoid being one-shotted themselves, since we won't be able to block off team East from freedom of engagement.

Hmm, allied reinforcements can only mean one thing: More bad guys are coming. Lots more. We gonna die.

Is it usually this doom-and-gloom here? I can't help but be amused by it.

In my experience, we have to go a few turns into the battle first, usually.

It could also mean that the Menelean forces were awake today and are already bringing down the hammer. More and more allies will arrive, and it'll all be ov--I can't keep a straight face anymore :P
Yeah, we're probably doomed. Again. But who knows?

Oh yes. Yet somehow we've only lost one person to death, that was due to his own insanity :P

Turn 4 (so, just as we're thoroughly stuck in): Massive enemy pre-promote reinforcements arrive from the east.  Mission change: Escape the battlefield. Because... ^_^

I suggest a bit of digging in mixed with a lot of panicking. We'll regroup and come up with a better plan next turn.
