Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

EDIT: Wait, can you not even move after Rescuing? That almost defeats the point. I guess?

If they move their archer to hit me, Gregor can hit him or pull out and let Sterling fight. If they hit him, the rest of the party can circle round to the crack and attack from behind while Greg get beat up. Daniel and Derick should go and help the circle group.

Fire Emblem walls are notorious for not being arrow-proof.

Or axe-proof, as Taric is demonstrating.

There are no ceilings in Akaneia/Elibe/Magvel/Tellius. They all got eaten by dread gazebos.

I can heal people by thinking happy thoughts while holding a staff and a army is 20 people, realism is not part of the game.

Not if this is running on Path of Radiance rules, you can't.

Also, I'm guessing I should have Gregor move back? No way will he be able to kill one of those axemen, especially when they have full health.

Or I can just have him pop a vulnerary and see if he can tank another turn.

Problem is, if I fall back it doesn't look like anyone will be available to defend our healer standing right behind me. Depending on how much HP Ami can recover with her staff, consuming a vulnerary use should give enough HP to survive an arrow (4 damage) and an axe hit (12 damage), especially with my personal skill coming into play (extra defense). It's not perfect, but I can fall back next round and let Sterling or Derick take over.

Unless I'm misreading the map and other orders entirely.

I or Furt could still take back their action while Haspen's away.

Actually you wouldn't be able to move until next turn, if you live until then, so that's a non-issue.

Does "not being able to move" mean no actions at all, or just no movement?

I'm looking at the handbook, and I can't see anything in the Death section regarding actions you can take after revival.

Healing from 'death counter' is halved.

And you do actions after being revived in the same turn (imagine being 'greyed out' in FE games).

And I hope you resolved your tactical crisis by now because I'm now going to forward the turn :P
