Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

FFS move to 16,14 and fire at B so I can heal Sterling.

I nominate Sterling Most Badass of the current party. He just took a fireball and arrow to the face and lived to double-counter an axeman in the same turn.

It's less impressive when you realize that I only needed to evade a single attack, which had a 82% chance of happening.

Dear Lord this game is soft on character death.

MAJOR SINS:

Quote
Rescuing them: Provided you could Rescue them when they had some HP, you can rescue an
ally with 0 HP. While being Rescued, the count down timer is put on hold. From there, you can
rush them to another ally for option 2 or 3, or wait out until the end of combat for option 1

Okay, this isn't too bad, but chances are people are going to be rescue-able in three turns in most situations unless they're the heaviest person in the party. Given that Rescue doesn't majorly hinder the rescue-er, there's pretty much no reason NOT to do so if you're not already rescuing someone or don't have a vulnerary/healer.

Quote
If the player character does not receive any of these treatments before the countdown hits 0, they get a
mark on their character sheet. If they receive this mark 3 times, they are considered dead, and cannot be
restored without the use of special, incredibly rare staffs.

If your character dies under these rules, either all the other players hate you or you're just really really bad at this game. But even then you're not really dead, you're just 1/3 dead. :I

I ain't saying anything about this game itself, it's just that this is poor tabletop design.

Hmm, okay then. Change of rules:

You permamently die when the counter gets to 0.

I hope you won't complain now :)

That's what they said about A Game of Thrones.

(Actually I was poking fun at Awakening's casual mode :V)

Yes. MAY BLOOD FLOW FREELY.

EDIT: OH LAWD. Okay, so Sterling takes down the Archer. If that doesn't work, I'll finish it up since I'm guarenteed the first strike (should be enough.) If it does work, I'll go for the axeman.
