3.5 probably, pathfinder if there's enough people into that.

Preferably more core, a lot of the extra books are, well, a lot of extra, and some broken things.  Maybe core + some interesting material types?

Alright, well if Tuesdays at 6pm EST works for everyone/most people, I'm a definite option for being the DM if you'll have me.
I can run 3.5 or 4th, so that's mostly up to you guys. Personally, I prefer 3.5 because I feel that it's more flexible, but 4th might be better for new players.

I'm not a fan of Pathfinder for reasons I won't be getting into.

I'd be totally into Pathfinder.

As for 3.5 splatbooks... well at least the Complete series plus anything that has the word "Handbook" in it, seems like a decent enough selection to me. Sans Complete Psionics because screw that one.

I am intrested. I could try GMind, but I've never done it before.

Time should definately because of timezones and all.

Damn ninjas. Well, since a more experienced option for GM has appeared, ignore my first sentence.

Man, just look at that. As soon as a GM steps up suddenly the thread is full of people who want to play, even for just about the simplest game you can possibly run.

And that would include me. I would also be interested, although with so many people trying to join in I doubt there is room left already.

If there's enough people and leftover GMs we can just split it into two.  Or take volunteers for dead players.  Let's be honest, we're all roguelike fans.  There will be death.

I mainly want to avoid extra material because it can get confusing.  Core is core, but once you start tossing in extra books then you get people who aren't familiar with it and leaves some people confused and juggling things they're not sure about.

So if anything non-core IS added, we should be able to clearly spell out what all is added for everyone to see.

Well this is more of an interest thread really. Also, since I'm already GMing a game, I'd rather not try GMing another unless the others find they don't have time to GM after all. So, Thatkid you have my vote

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Also for any supernoobs - I recently learned DnD, so I had to learn it.  In learning it, I can essentially summarize the core rules briefly.  It's all about checking your skills against a D20, and then finding how much you did.

Very easy to get into once you realize how it works.  Noobs need not fear!  People are willing to explain things!

Genre Savvy dwarves works for me. I could do Thursday, but to be honest I'd prefer as soon as possible. I've got a taste to whet.
