Meehh, he's way too gaffe prone IMO.

I'm willing to put the gaffe proneness aside come election 2016 though. Don't remember if I liked Biden or not in 2008.

I feel like Biden is gaffe prone in the way that Chuck Norris is good at fighting.  Much more so in reputation then reality.

I, too, like Joe Biden quite a bit. The question is: do I support him over Hillary Clinton? That I haven't decided on that yet.

I'm not sold on Hillary. She seems like too much of a neocon in liberals clothing...

Hopefully the democrats have a nice diverse field. True, it's kind of chaotic with a lot of candidates like the Republicans did, but having diversity is a good thing.

I'd be delighted if they had that many candidates, though I hope they're not as nutty as the republicans were.

That's what it comes down to, I'm afraid. One thing the Republicans do have going for them is a tolerance bias in their favor, somehow. Lots of Republicans can pass for quaintly conservative statesmen, while Democrats with the same level of absurdity are Literally Satan and out to vivisect your children to appease minorities.

Biden may be gaffe-prone, but his gaffe seems to be mostly telling true but undiplomatic stuff, I quite like them.

I still do like his "don't have a soul" exchange with Putin. Very telling about both men.

Biden has the courtesy to give Putin the compliment he wanted and no other politician would give.

If it's true, it also means that Putin sees Biden as his worthy rival rather than Obama, which is certainly...unexpected.

He's saying that if Biden ever fights a killer whale, Putin's tough guy shtick is over. There's no way Putin can top that, and he knows it.

No, no, that can be one-up'd. Giant squid.

Admittedly, beyond the chance of being eaten, that has the possibility of backfiring into a reputation for a tentacle fetish, but... maybe that would be an improvement?
