Yeah, I think we have a timezone problem here. Meaning that getting more than one turn will be rather hard.

I'm EST (GMT -5), though I keep odd hours. Ordering people by timezone (or whenever they have freetime) is a decent idea, though I think we wouldn't be able to choose our factions then. With 7 players, doing 1 turn every 48 hours would be a good pace, 1 turn every 24 will be a miracle.

I'm also EST as well. Also, could someone post the faction order, or change the one on the front page to the correct one? It would really be helpful to see and prepare.

Apparently we can change that order if we edit the .ini file, though I'm not sure of the optimal time zone arrangement.

EDIT: I extrapolated GlyphGryph and PTTG??'s timezone from profile information. We could go Gaians, Peacekeepers, Hive, Believers, Spartans, Morganites, University, which would put us roughly in ascending timezone order.Definitely having all the Europeans on one or the other end of the turn order could make it possible to do 24-hour turns.

oh thanks karl, saves me the trouble.

i definitely think it's worth doing. if we're going to play for 3 months and it saves us one day every five turns (35 player turns), which i think is a low estimate of what it will save, that's.... a whole lot more turns!

i'll just do a quick playtest to check if it will work if only i change the ini file, then I'll make the change
