Waitlist, but I thinking the death rate is going to be low, through in your case unlikely because you are second right now. Mainly because of the first turn Beware the Berserker of flames

Yeah, this is kind of a grey area. While a high mortality rate would definitely give more folks a chance to be included, you'd also be killing off 12-year-olds by the dozen...

When it come to death, age is not a factor for me. One of the NPC(and possible enemy) is a dead 5 year old called Clair who can command the shadows.

Or somehow we can rotate players in and out? Sort of like having two miniature parties? Like 1 dungeoneering bout, for the first group, then the next group gets to mess around in the next mini-adventure.

I like that idea personally. That way, the GM's not overwhelmed with handling too much at once, but everyone gets their 'shot' without losing their characters willy nilly.

Talking about characters, this lot needs a cheery lass into the mix!

Name: Emily McPhearson
Gender: Female
Age: 12
Appearance: Lightly browned blonde hair, which has a mini side tail with a small bow to hold it. Startlingly blue eyes, almost always smiling. Wears a just-above-knee-length tartan skirt and a over-sized blazer, her hands often covered by the sleeves.
Element: Water
Skills: Speech, Lockpick, Spot
Bio: Emily is friendly and outgoing and often has alot of energy to go with it. If there's one word to sum her up, it would be bubbly. Quick to make friends, she tends to get on with most people. However, her attention span isn't all it could be, and hasn't really thrived in a learning environment, often needing to copy someone's homework to catch up.
She is a surprising package though, demonstrating intelligence where noone would think she had, courage in defending her friends and a weird out of place ability to pick a lock. Emily also chooses to believe in the best in people, wishing everyone a happy time. This attitude coupled with an uncanny instinct, gives her an air around her that relieves people.
Emily has a knack for spotting things that other people miss entirely. Noone knows for sure, but it often seems as a result of her shorter attention span. Where people focus on one thing, she tends to look elsewhere.

Yes that sound good. I see if I can work with that(no promises through).

That'd be cool. One main group running the storyline, and another group doing a sideplot (that could affect the success of the main group.) It could be simultaneous in two different threads, or alternate between the groups.

Ok *start writing down* main(this one), side(Homework, Bullies and Demons:Jumping through hoops(Need a better name)) and the OOC thread.

What level of Masquerade will there be? Will normals see what is going on for what it is, See an altered version of it to fit what they think is physically possible, or will they not see it at all?

Normals are be unaware of the other worlds, the PCs and unlucky NPCs will fall through the veil and the odd beast or demon will slip into main world, sometime people will slip into the shadow world and back without noticing because it almost the same as the main world however the void is very different to the main world, however most will think it was a daymare.

That being said there are books and records of the other worlds, but they are inaccurate or hard to find(or both)

Another idea I've seen used: Have waitlisters control various "N"PCs, like notable enemies or important teachers or something.

I know about that and it a good idea, but I don't want to do that.

Also I'm playing it loose with hair colour(blue, green, etc are all ok)

Not sure if it's the case in England, but around here school dress codes prohibit extravagant hair colors. Neon red/orange/yellow is a grey area since it's close enough to natural colors.

Also not sure if it's the case in England, but very few people I know have blue, green, or whatever hair, dyed or no. (There's a couple girls in my school with pink- or red-dyed hair...out of about 2,000.)

Well..... In my high school, they frankly don't care what color your hair is; only that you are part of the 10% of the school who ends up graduating.......

Middle school however, said you couldn't have extravagant hair color, because it was distracting

I mean natural colour not dye.
