Ew.

Oh right. Do you (players) want me to tone down the gore stuff?
I didn't consider some might be 'ewed' by it (It's bay12 I mean...we burn elves) but if it disgusts you I can probably 'blank' the dismemberments and so on...

Is tyrar allowed doing that "20+7" thing? I wa sunder the impression that only the GM can do those.

Not to search for traps I think, since taking 20 means you actually do the action 20 times. Which if there was a trap, it would be set off 19 times in the doing.

For things like lockpicking and such where there is no penalty for failure, then yeah.

.....if if goofed, sorry. I was just saying that I was taking 20 on my action so as to be sure to catch any traps, and I've gotten into the habit of stating my total bonus whenever I do that(I require it for MY players as well BTW)

And if I can't take 20 anyways, NVM

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

It's fine by me. But then, I'm the only kid in my high school I know of who really liked dissections (except the squid one, but that's mostly because I broke the gladius a lot and was...otherwise incompetent.)

Speaking of dissections, that's the least crazy thing so far. Why oh why would you set off a trap ON PURPOSE?

Can't take twenty to searching traps. You can search in a room and take the twenty though if there's a trap within I secretly roll the dice again. If you don't see it...*bang*
No worries though! It's the only trap for now!

Er. To be fair. I understand what FFS/Minski was thinking. I also thought that it was just a opening button. Who the hell is stupid enough to put a deadly trap in the middle of their basement floor in the forum of a button? Dude must lose a lot of fucking busboys.

Of course, we still should have had the rogue take care of it, but at least I understand.

At any rate, I am fairly certain that D is not going to be killed just by that, so no real harm done.

Indeed. Who is stupid enough?
(Good call in thinking it seems stupid. Next post will shed some light in it as soon as I get it posted in the On section)

...Ok, I propose we swipe one of the vials of that black substance, have someone quietly slip out of the inn, and find a healer/alchemist who can tell us what the hell is that stuff. Depending on the answer, we can confront the innkeeper with our knowledge and find out the story behind that rather elaborate setup for protecting that stash, since it seems rather expensive for a simple inn....

Given shadenights predilection for evil gm-ery, I wouldn't be surprised if we ran into more trouble upstairs, like angry wizard Orcs...

As for Gore, well, as long as it serves a purpose. A C section is pretty gruesome, there's nothing wrong with writing it out as such.

I think we should swipe the whole lot, then get it checked out later. If it is important we can head back, if not we might as well just leave this punk little town and head out.
