So, equipment stuff. You can also start with some basic equipment, based on your background. In addition, Scriver starts with a Jamship.
So right now, I understand it as them being the only starting together, so...
Scriver:
Small Jamship, Nex class. Small Hold, 8 rooms, including the cockpit, 6 capsule bunks, and the dining/rec area (the tables fold up for more room if needed. Right now, you're using some of the spare bunks for storage.
It's not exactly a great ship, but it's capable of landing on planets with some effort, and the extra bunks mean you can make some cash running cargo even though
someone's rotor is taking up most of the hold space. You do not currently have any weapons on the ship. You're very much NOT a cargo ship, though, so don't expect to make too much that way - maybe there are other jobs around somewhere? Not many that can be done with almost no cargo space, a three man crew, and a ship with no weapons fitted, though...
You had 1000 gold credits, but you've signed an not-quite-so-ace pilot with jamhandling for 550 of them, leaving with your with 450 to spend on various supplies. You've a decent amount of food, so aside from a distinct shortage of crew, you're not hurting for supplies.
Frastur:
You start as the First Mate, for what that means, and you've got a Rotor in the hold for handling planet-based jobs and commuting. At the very least, it means you can save some cash by landing in the countryside and taking the rotor in instead of paying the hefty port fees. Even more useful if you're carrying good the port authorities might not like. the magicore needs charging every so often or the thing will start to die, but it's pretty light and not really that expensive for a rotor so small. Not as cheap as powering a roller, of course, but you never have to worry about traffic jams or washed out bridges.
You've got 50 gold credits in your personal savings. You really need to talk to the Captain about crew shares, though - you love the idea of everyone having "equal" shares, but you don't quite understand why the Captain gets five of them and you get one.
Everyone else, let me know what sort of stuff you expect to start with equipment-wise.
