No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

YOSHI'S EPIC YARN

How did this get into your list of excitement?

Kirby's epic yarn was as easy as... playing with a ball of yarn.

and Yoshi's story was at times legitimately tough and epic.

It seems like a downgrade to me.

Also I hope that Emblem meets Shin... that they include Persona in it. I mean they do share the same universe as Shin.

Well ok Digital devil Saga is in the same universe as Persona.

Kirby's Epic Yarn is the most fun Kirby game they've released since 2000. Everyone I know who's touched it has had a blast the entire time, especially in co-op. Difficulty is not everything.

Kirby was always easy. In fact many people say that most Kirbys have an easy and hard mode depending if you actually fight the enemies or not.

Yoshi story however actually had some bite.

Not surprised with what happened with Other M, but if Nintendo were to make an in-house sequel to Fusion, I'd be beating down doors to make enough money to buy a Wii U just to play that(as I imagine the ENTIRE fanbase as well)

NEW SMASH BROS
Didn't the Smash Bros. Lead guy say the Melee was going to be the last Smash game before they made brawl?

It really depends on who does metroid. Super Metroid/Zero Mission style is pretty great (Woo, Sequence Breaking and other fun/interesting things). Prime is also pretty great (Woo, lore all over the place). The game that was terrible in conveyance (but otherwise not bad in most gameplay) is not so great and not many people really want a repeat of that.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

:P I was gonna start correcting you until I read that second line.

More seriously and on topic, I'm really excited about all of this. Specially for the crossover and the HD Windwaker since I never got to play the original. Rented it when I was little and couldn't figure out the stealth portion.

Also they've made  of confirmation that the crossover will be an RPG and not a fighting game or anything like that.

Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem? That's one oddball of a crossover. Not sure what to expect.

Thing is, Metroid has dug itself in a hole in terms of story. The reason they're holding off on making a Fusion sequel is this: The Space Pirates are dead, and the namesake creature is extinct. They're stuck with making new inbetween games, a new game in a similar environment to fusion (Evil organization clones Metroids, handful of pirates, blah blah blah.) or taking a ballsy risk with the story.

We won't be seeing Metroid games for awhile.

Every dwarf, every dwarven man, women, and child, that comes to our forts will die there; it's truly sad when you think about it. And we ask our selves, why? Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

Maybe they should just make a new game to make a good game and not care about keeping the storyline consistent. Alternate timelines are easy enough to make.

They should do what the movies do to the comic stories. Retell the beginning, tweak it, and make it fun.

Looking forward to playing Wind Waker again. I do think the lighting is a little harsh in the screens we've seen so far.

Think I'll be holding back a long while with the WiiU. I feel a bit burnt by the lack of decent games on the 3DS. If this list is anything to go by they aren't making the same mistake again.
