Can we use the vine as a reagent? It would be excellent to have Grass Knot back. I reckon one of these things plus a solid choice of accompanying reagent would net us this skill back.

I like Grass Knot because it's just so perfect for Al's ability set. He's a nature-wielding ninja, with skills like Perception and Sneak coupling his base magical abilities which happen to be self-heals, self-castable defense buffs, and mind-control. He's the character you can send out to places the rest of the party just can't get to, having almost everything needed to be our self-sustaining, solo-excursion special ops, ahhh... specialist. Grass Knot would round out his tool set, granting him equal amounts of mobilty and Shenanigans, while hopefully receiving bonuses from the Nature class skill.

C'mon, I know we use Grass Knot to stab ourselves in the eye with a Searchbot (roundly slaying combining two of our characters in the process). But with guile and anticipation, we could have used Grass Knot to stab one of our enemies in the eye with a Searchbot. Now that's an ability!

Meantime:

Use our Checkpoint to go back and heal up our characters and cheese our much-abused SP back to a comfortable above-maximum.

-1 to every suggestion that involves charging off into this vertiginous death labyrinth without proper preparation.

Pick some of those pink flowers from that tree. More loot to sell to the merchant is always a good idea.

Wait. You guys. Our blood dagger fires lasers. LASERS. That means....if we point at someone....and use blood magic....CIRO CERO.

EDIT: Then I remembered that bloodshape is a skill and we can't do anything without skills. Maybe we can "bloodshape" our blood in such a way as to still work but also letting us fire lasers out of it?

Just bloodshape a working time machine and form an alliance of every version of the party from every cycle.

I wish the final boss battle with Willborn Oric involve Ciro somehow summoning numerous previous incarnations of herself.

Ciro identifies as male, if I remember correctly. Should we refer to her as a he?

Ask Ciro if s/he wants to be known as a he or a she.

Ciro said that she was a female, even if she was pretty distressed about it.

Ciro is a female who used to be a male, used to be distressed about this fact, seemingly okay with it now.

(but was the original Target male or female, we may never know)

Minus was female.
And we haven't seen the original Target, and knowing FFS, we probably never will.

But Ciro doesn't completely remember the events of the Minus cycle. Just echos of the memories of the past.

Well crud... I just realized something. Two somethings, really. That title: the last, I think it means Al is one of the Six Sinister Siblings of Oric the Awesome. And the most powerful, if we're going with first is weakest and last is strongest. Or at least most important. If Al is one of the Six Sinister Siblings, we have a lot to think about.

And another well crud: I have an insight to what Oric's soul star does. If he's meant to be the final boss, why not have his soul star negate the abilities of other soul stars? It would also explain why we couldn't shift to him.

also, +1 to checking the skill tree.

(Gather: 1!) You try to pick some Cheery Trees, but you stub your toe on a root and fill your hand with splinters! Gah!

Wop wop wop wop...

Oh Underside, we missed you so.

Everyone heads to the SP fountain to heal up right away then reconvenes at Al's house.

Goom-bess grabs the now-finished skill out of the Skill Tree in Storage.

Riltia giggles and motions you to stop.

She has a point. You've done little relaxing since you joined Ciro and the others on DL2. Now is a good time to take a break and recalibrate the shipping grid. You've also had very little one-on-one time with anyone, and next to no "alone time" save your excursion to Cleared DL2.

After a brief chat over soup, everyone but you decides what they want to do with their break. Will you use this event time to...

...join Ciro and Riltia at the Underside Market?
...go Goom-bess in a research trip to the Greens?
...talk with Cherish in your old favorite spot?
...go do something else?
