Or maybe FFS didn't think about how many playable characters there could possibly be when he made the game over a year ago, and thought that 8 would be plenty.
We've already seen the influx level up once. What's to say that encountering a 9th character selectable by the influx wouldn't trigger another level up (accompanied by it's Second Shift getting stronger)?

I'd say it's more likely expected some of the characters on it to be dead by now.

That said, it could just add another row.

It worked out well, actually. We've got space for all the Siblings minus the one we can never, ever select.

Implying we will never meet anyone else who can be selected.

Also bear in mind that the thread title is itself "advice!" I want to see what Proxxy is up to, dammit!

Though actually... the random "mash Soul Star" thought that came from nowhere probably came from Ecco, we can see in the Influx he's using his Star right now...

We got to be him anyway. Good enough for me.

DL1 probably doesn't have a boss, since it was really small.

Both unchecked doors are dead ends- one to the lava peninsula, one to the Astra Influx chest room.

I still think we own DL1. It just makes sense. After all, it was where we started, wasn't it?

Or Riltia
Possible, though I think Riltia owns either DL5 or DL6.

See, I think we own DL1 because it had no theme. At the time, we didn't really have much of a theme. We were a blank slate.

Riltia, on the other hand, had a personality and appearance and stuff.

I'm almost certain that DL5/6 are owned by Riltia and Al. After all, it wouldn't make much sense if they were the only Siblings without floors.
Al isn't a Sibling.

It worked out well, actually. We've got space for all the Siblings minus the one we can never, ever select.
Hm. So, we will at some point be able to switch to Oric. Or at least, that is a possibility. But Cain is not.

Not really. Appearance, I guess, but she had slightly less personality than we did. She was so undefined that our actions decided her allegiance!
Besides, if the boss of each DL is the level boss...it makes sense.

She did have a bit of a personality. Not much, but it was there. Also, she actually talked and had a design, unlike us.

Personality? Where?
And of course she had design and dialogue. What kind of boss doesn't? (Besides, our silence was self-imposed. Being the original imposer, I should know.)

Well, she talked. She seemed kinda cheerful and trustworthy. Again, she had very little personality, but we had no personality. Also, she wasn't even on the floor until we activated that quest, which makes me suspect that she would've appeared on whichever floor we first activated a statue on.

Or maybe DL1 belongs to the Seraphim; but the Seraphim is no longer in control, so Oric uses the level as a tutorial/firstmurder level.
