Because an anti-magic level will need a pro-magic level following it to keep things balanced, duh. Kind of how a lava-dungeon would be folozed by an ice dungeon.

Also, I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere...

FFS' notes?
No idea.

But, even if there isn't a magic-based DL, DL3 will still be the level in which we have a bigger advantage against Cain in case bad things happen.

Unless Cain's abilities are not considered magic for some reason.

Which for some reason I expect might be the case judging from his apparent power in the Sinful intermission.

Not terribly terrifying. If the image link wasn't broken, I'd tell you to look up "the Irgise". Drawing by me, now lost to some bug; thumbnails still exist, though.

offer him the anti-anti-magic potion, BUT WARN HIM THAT WE BOUGHT IT FROM ORIC!

edit: really. We don't know for sure that oric is bound by the laws of shopkeepers...it could be poison meant for Cain.

however, I leave it to cain to puzzle out whether drinking it is a good idea or not.

This is a masterwork ledger.  It contains 3719356 pages on the topic of the precise number and location of stones in Spindlybrooks.  In the text, the dwarves are hauling.

The secret is small details. Artists do not work so much in art as in psychology. It is all about the person who views the art: manipulating them, swaying them.

Notice this drawing of Spira is exactly the same as normal except for the head. There are a few subtleties. Her eyes have little bags under them, giving you the impression they have form (tiny details bring things closer to 3D and thus the uncanny valley). Her teeth are tiny and go all the way around her face. The slight red/black shifts between the teeth confuse the mind, pulling on our fear of the unknown. Finally, her jaw protrudes out from her body, tying into the 3D thing. I do not think this is scary at all, but it certainly follows the formula.

This silly drawing of Betweenford is small, and it has details, but not enough to define it. Its form is incorrect BUT dreamy, distancing it from the uncanny valley. Instead of scary, it is, at worst, "unsettling." The perfect scary drawing would be both highly ambiguous AND highly defined.

If this adventure ends in a disgraceful failure, it will be the fault of everyone who didn't go along with my perfectly ideal proposal. IT WILL BE ON YOUR CONSCIENCE.
