So Oric is the shopkeeper, and the Voice is the mailman?
And Ciro is a past version of Al. Somehow.
And while we're speculating on crazy time travel stuff, Al is his own father, maternal grandfather, grandmaternal great-grandfather, and so on until he got bored.

I.e., as far back as his ancestors were vaguely attractive.
And then a bit further, because Al.

Al's ancestors invented the expression "hitting on someone/something"

Determining when Al stopped being his own great-great-great...grandfather in the maternal line can be discovered by the first use of the expression.

Or maybe the first bad pickup line.

Or maybe the first of his ancestors he could copulate with. If this is the case, then killing Al before he goes back in time to become his own great-infinite-grandfather would lead to devastation, as he would be the ancestor of all humanity several times over.

Mother of God, three crits in a turn. One does not simply roll three criticals.

-1 to using acid or anything stupid involving the vending machine.
Dammit guys, this is why Goombess and Cherish needed to smash a wisp apiece. Then there'd just be Big Wisp and the new little wisp. Not to mention we were told melee with Big Wisp is a terrible idea. Goombess is probably going to die.

I also don't think taking a wisp hostage will accomplish anything, since the big guy can just summon more.

Ciro: Shoot Big Wisp in hand to break grapple

Cherish: Cast Heal on Goombess  She might survive if she's at full hp, and having Cherish close to melee just gets her in the same predicament.

Goombess: Break free from Big Wisp and hop right
+1
Well, this idea is good, too, +1 to this instead of my idea.

(Attack: 20! CRITICAL HIT! (1+1)*2!) You aim for the Big Wisp's hand and pierce it. With a loud BLBRRBRR, the beast drops Goom-bess onto the platform unharmed.

(Heal: 3+1) Cherish heals your comrade up to full health.

(Attack: 20! CRITICAL HIT! 3*2!) (Attack: 20! CRITICAL HIT! 4*2!) The Big Wisp jumps, and the little wisps catch Cherish and Goom-bess off-guard. The supercharged volts course through their bodies. Cherish shrieks, but her screams are muffled by a bolt running through her nervous system. She struggles to regain composure after the attack.

Whatever we do: Ciro jumps to another platform, probably the one with Cherish on it.
(You can see the Big Wisp's shadow)

Ciro: Fire at wisp next to Cherish and jump to that platform.
Goombess: grab spear and jump to platform where Cherish is now.
Cherish: jump to north platform and heal self.

EDIT: Changed order to avoid friendly fire

Cherish:  Jump to north platform and heal self
Ciro:  Shotgun wisp on platform Cherish vacated and jump to it*
Goombess:  Pick up spear and spear the wisp with it

*If attack then move cannot be done, then move first then attack

I'm scared but hopeful.
