Actually, I'm pretty sure they can. Not 100% sure on that.

Don't forget that 682 can also adapt to anything thrown at it, and even sometimes turn it against its attacker. Imagine 682 and Cthulhu having an insanity duel; whole galaxies would fall into madness in the aftermath, probably.

Also, this conversation is probably better suited for the Crossover thread.
Yes, yes it is.
That said, Cthulhu wins by virtue of not only being unable to die, but having a daughter that will birth him again if he's ever killed.
682 might not be able to be killed, but ... actually, I've no idea, so here's something better:
A level 20+ optimized D&D Wizard (no PunPunning) vs the entirety of Warhammer 40k.

Wizard. All the way. Why? Contingency. Celerity. Time stop. Wish. Metamagic.

Yes, they can. They're so badass that they drop the last few hundred meters in nothing but their armor. The pods aren't protection for the landing, they're just heatshields and chaff to fool enemy AA.

Wizard. All the way. Why? Contingency. Celerity. Time stop. Wish. Metamagic.
In my opinion, it kind of depends on the wizard's alignment, equipment, deitic status/rank, and what all happened to get that wizard to twenty-plus.
Some people end at twenty with enough gear to destroy the economy of a small nation, others get there with enough curses their take ten is usually a negative number.

Plus evil wizards have some freakishly powerful spells if you poke around in Vile Darkness for a bit.
Examples: Mindrape, Gutwrench, Steal Life, Stop Heart, Whirlwind of Teeth.

All of those evil spells sound like something available to some warp-damned thing or another.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

And then the wizard uses Extended Rope Trick to hide until he has all his spells again.

Assume normal Wealth By Level, so 760,000 gold IIRC.

Are we playing with PrC shenanigans? The prestige class is what makes the wizard go from nigh-unstoppable to unstoppable.

Also, reminded of 682 bs Cthulhu: 682 in the 40k universe.

682 vs the Ordo Malleus would be interesting.

Though the thing is, 682 will inevitably win, simply because of its capacity to adapt. The Void Dragon (or whatever it was) against 682 will eventually end up with a dead Void Dragon and a living "oh god that thing killed the Void Dragon"

You're talking about the thing vs a Star God.

Considering how the Old Ones' power came from their ability to adapt, I don't think 682 gets any cards here.

The Old Ones? Lizard people? They were the guys from Spore. They didn't really adapt.

Not really; they designed new species, but that's about it.

They did indeed modify the civilizations they manufactured.
See: Humans, on crack.

Yep.
Still unable to get around 682's inability to die combined with superBorganid levels of adaptation.
