Edge points out that Grail is not, infact, in the mud. He has Fauna on top of him instead.

Standing up doesn't really change anything, aside from making it easier to see how close that underground lake is. Theres still tentacles coming out of it occasionally.

The world still seems to be the same medieval time as before the mage exploded. There hasn't been very much to say you left the world though, so theres a unlikely possibility.
