The backpacks are nothing. The real question is, how can you fit 6 half-litre water bottles into a pair of cargo pants? Or a gallon jug?

I could see the former. Depends on the size of the pockets (and the shape of the bottles), really.

I once went to a concert with 8 bottles of beer in my pants. Granted, these were 25-cl glass bottle, but still.

Also, another time, I sneaked a 2-liter bag of wine into a festival by putting it in my pants.

Honestly, in my experience, half-liter bottles are pretty easy to stock up on. Cargo pants pockets are more than big enough to carry half-liter bottles, only question is how many pockets you have.

Hell, I fit about 6 into a pair of cargo shorts. You could probably carry around up to 16, or even 20, if you put enough pockets on a pair of pants.

put pockets on a pair of pants
We need the ability to do this. Tailoring skill, proper materials... why shouldn't we be able to sew loads of pockets onto every single piece of clothing we have?

Nnngh, where's my Sewing book of 6 skill? I can't make myself a leather trenchcoat until I find one.

I like my trenchcoats...

I managed to escape the lab in the Lab Challenge, as a willing mutant. In a very simple, but nigh-suicidal and quite hilarious manner. The turret inexplicably got deleted after killing a character from a previous attempt, so the only problem was the wall.

The solution? Lighters. And enough ballsiness to jump into a non-adjectival fire to get through - I could've gotten out unharmed if I thought of finding an extinguisher.

E: Tried again, this time with an extinguisher but without a filter mask. Got through pretty much unscathed.

You might have thermal goggles or something like that equipped, look around your worn items and bionics and see if there's anything that might hint at thermal vision.

Not even a week in. I know I don't have any bionics or night-vision equipment.

In other news, just fought off a Mi-go but couldn't kill it. Only a half-dozen map tiles later, another one jumps me. The first thing it says: "Have you done this before?"

That's crazy. After luring over to my shelter's NPC, who proceeded to plink .22 rounds off it to no effect. After the Mi-go killed him, it came after me. The first thing it said, "I'm sorry."

Mi-gos are creepy

A pair of them were guarding some military corpses, so I went after them.
"Do you smoke?"
"Negative."
I've also had Mi-gos go from Tracking to Hostile and say stuff like "Found you!" and "I can take it on!" I love fighting them.

With temperature and frostnipping sort of being a thing in-game, why isn't Raynaud's phenomenon a negative trait? I don't know how easy it would be to code in, but making frostnipping and, later, frostbite, happen faster and with more severity seems like a pretty fitting potential disadvantage.

And some kind of resistance to cold as a positive trait would be pretty neat.
Actually, I can't remember. Is some kind of temperature tolerance in the game already that I forgot about?
