I had same problem with crashing after compiling with RELEASE=1. I just had to compile it with debug on and crashes gone away, so experimental versions should work for You.

Well I've got it running and so far so good, so yeah, I probably should have considered this much earlier.

Do hospitals contain a faster way to remove addictions past sitting in a room and going cold turkey?

EDIT: Nevermind, apparently one night of going cold turkey from Codeine fixes it right up :P

There isn't a good way to get rid of addictions except to wait them out. Fortunately, most of the time you want to drop an addiction it's still mild, we're talking a mild painkiller dependence not a hopeless alcoholic. If addictions become a running problem for you though, there's a trait that will make them less common in the experimental. Works great.

Breaking the hobo alcohol addiction seriously blows.

Hmm. Running into two bugs this version. The first involves dead zombies sometimes being duplicated - you kill a tough zombie and you wind up with two corpses and two sets of drops. Not game breaking, but probably unintended. The second involves food items with a large nutrition value (soups, burgers, etc). Even if my character is hungry enough to eat the whole thing, it still gives a warning that I won't finish it and doesn't completely fill my hunger meter.

Isn't there a RL drug or two that helps break addictions? Maybe that should be added.

Kinda sorta. I forget what its called, but its for heroin. Basically what it does is fill the heroin need, slowly, while replacing the heroin addiction with a new one with less issues.

As mentioned, most drugs like this are really just replacing an old addiction with a new one, on the idea that a brand new slightly less addictive addiction will be easier to cure then an old deep-seated one.

METHADONE! And yes, it actually does work. IIRC, you reduce the level of heroin and increase the level of methadone as you go along, and eventually you're left with just doing pure methadone, which is relatively easy to break the addiction of. The problem is that when you hit that level, 100% methadone, you can basically go back to heroin with your tolerances dropped way down. Ideally, the clinics don't tell you this, but it happens all too often.

I've used it in the past, I mentioned the crashes once and got directed to the coders irc who then wanted details I couldn't provide so yeah.

Nah, for any other questions or just hanging around. Response times can be a lot faster. Mentioned it because it's faster to ask about experimental stuff there.

Indeed, also I gave the experimental a try but at this stage I'm gonna have to call it for a bit. Right now Zombears seem to be spawning faster than Jabberwocks did before they got fixed. As in I took a nap and four of the bastards where outside my house. Every game I have played on experimental has failed due to Zombears.

Today I learned a Makeshift Halberd is both badass and better than a combat knife.
