Oh, juggling chainsaws gets boring though. Without people trying to shoot you, where's the fun?

It's not people shooting you. It's a single person deciding to screw with your challenge with an instant 'YOU LOSE' factor.

In DF terms, it's like every once in a while all your dwarves spontaneously dropped dead out of the blue.

A room... with a moose. When you kill the moose, it spawns another moose and nothing else. There is no escape.

So what was with the bathroom moose?

As soon as two releases back, moose were hostile all the time. And would appear in odd places. So, having a stalky moose somehow get into a closed, windowless bathroom to ambush you as you go in could and did happen.

Okay, so yeah - it's clear that something is terribly fucked up about the spawn situation. I'll see if I can do something about it - someone went through a lot of effort to screw with the spawn tables recently, and I'm probably just gonna have to revert it.

Animal aggression should probably also be looked at. A lone Coyote is almost never going to attack a full grown human, yet they're even more aggressive than wolves for some reason.

Even wolves and bears should be much more careful about attacking humans, given the large amounts of easier prey around for them to stalk. Predators rarely attack something that can fight back unless they're really hungry.

Granted, that assumes that the Cataclysm hasn't messed them up in some way, but if that were the case I'd assume they'd get more aggressive over time.

Where are sunspace creatures? I've spawned them with cheats for giggles, and faced them in defense mode IIRC but I have no clue where to find the creepy buggers in the normal game.

I have no idea.

I really want to encounter some of the crazy netherworld inhabitants, but so far I've only seen a Mi-go, a kreck, and some eyes. I know there are much crazier things out there, and some kind of portal event, but I myself have never encountered it, and it makes me sad.

You can go into a lab and maybe you'll find the cascade of FUN. It supposedly makes carnival encounters much more common.
