So... still going with that character I mentioned last.  He has 11 Archery skill, a reflex recurve bow, and 100 metal arrows.  He one-shots everything.  His survival skill is also high enough now that he consistently finds bionics from butchering shocker zombies.  Installed some wolverine claws just before quitting lastnight.  Haven't tried them yet, but I'm expecting they'll be good enough that he won't even need to carry a melee weapon anymore.  I think this is the most powerful character I've managed yet.

I really like the progression for archery.  It's nice and steady.  As mentioned before, though, it does seem crazy powerful.

top i went with archery is 7. what traits did you pick? any tips for playstyle?

Digging's a lot like surgery, see -- you grab the sharp thing and then drive the sharp end of the sharp thing in as hard as you can and then stuff goes flying and then stuff falls out and then there's a big hole and you're done. I kinda wish there was more screaming, but rocks don't hurt so I guess it can't be helped.

No.

Also, is there any way to repair Chitinous items?  They look so useful, but without being able to repair or fit them they're kinda lame...

Not at home where I can check right now, but I'm pretty sure I'm Quick, Fleet-Footed, and Deft.  Stats are 10 Str/10 Dex/9 Int/9 Per.  I started out by leading zombies through bushes and stabbing them with a pointy stick.  Then after smashing a window for sheets to do some tailoring, I happened to notice..... "self bow?".

But playstyle is really simple, and is a good rule of thumb for gaming in general.  Keep everything hostile in one direction, and always have stuff nearby that can be used to slow them down if you need to get out.  Try never to get into a fight you can't escape from.  Molotovs are a fantastic Get-Out-of-Bad-Shit Free Card.  I carry a couple on me at all times and only use them at stuff that I don't want to let near me and I can't outrun.

Adderall and Windows will save your life.

In fact just Adderall.  Chug 5 and RUN!

Honestly, I prefer bushes on open ground to windows.  I think windows buy you a couple more turns, but there's more pressure to kill the enemy within that period.  Plus if you face a large horde, they'll spread out to other entrances to the building and you can get surrounded.  With bushes, I lead them into one, stab them a couple times, then step back and lead them into the next one.  Repeat forever.  Totally safe, with the exception of the occasional fast/dog zombie or wildlife.  Wooded areas are especially effective if you're really pressed.  Very effective for escaping something faster than you, or dealing with a large and troublesome group.

And yeah... Adderall... or any other powerful stimulant.  Cocaine is a good boost.  Even caffeine pills make a difference.  I try to be sparing with them, though.

How do you warm your face?  There's not a ton that covers it.

Do you need to warm every body part if it's cold?

Every body part has a separate indicator, except eyes, and you get a morale dip if your face is cold.  Right now I'm rocking a lot of Fur gear, but my face is still cold...

A fursuit should do it. Various masks provide some warmth. Layer them?

Wool Allergy prevents Scarves (despite being crafted from Fur), so my only real option is multiple Bandannas.

Skin an animal and stitch a section of skin cut to be like a mask to your face?
