Apparently there was a 7DRL that was multiplayer and a good game though thats not making a roguelike into a multiplayer game but makeing a roguelike that is a multiplayer game.

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

Well, Xbox Spelunky is technically a roguelike, and capable of multiplayer. But my point is that a multiplayer Cataclysm would lag so hard it's not even funny. Plus, the system would need to be changed into realtime, which would make the inventory screen a bigger problem than it is now.

Not to mention I doubt the Dev(s) would actually have time and motivation to fulfill this fantasy anyways.

The pseudo-multiplayer we had before was fun, the same world saved on a server and all.

All of those problems I agree with. Multiplayer cataclysm would be terrible.

Won't stop people from suggesting it.

I wanna see the ability to bang two rocks together and make a sharp rock.

It used to be possible in DarklingWolf's Mod. But the sharp rock is now obsolete thanks to every character spawning with a pocket knife and the ability to quickly craft a nail board.

That's an extreme solution. Suggestions for excrement and slavery for dwarves in DF are annoying, but they aren't banworthy.

What's wrong with excrement and slavery ?

If done right in-game, nothing, but they tend to be repeated an awful lot as a suggestion.

Its implementable too, and it would add something to the gameplay(yes even poo, fertilisers, plumbing, biological warfare anyone?)

But fuck that. This is the cataclysm thread.

It's funny, on the topic of annoying suggestions, I don't think Cataclysm has any suggestions that are constantly repeated yet. All that stuff about multiplayer suggestions is based off one I saw, and on the basis that most games without multiplayer will get suggestions to make it so.

You really should be able to build stuff on rock floors. I mean, theres no reason you shouldn't be able to build a bed in a cave if you want to. or at least let us build normal floor on it.

Maybe I can find a jackhammer and pulverize the rockfloor to dirt.
