I keep getting beat to things. First he beats me to doing some videos on the newest in Cataclysm. Then someone beats me to telling the thread that Jef is doing said videos.

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

Good to hear that zombie kids are getting nerfed. So many characters lost, just because of them...

Also, you may either want to increase trenchcoat encumbrance or reduce encumbrance for the other coats as well. It doesn't really make sense that a denim jacket would be harder to move in than a trenchcoat. :P

I started a new character and I'm suddenly competent?

I'm now in a house with a small stash of food and drink in the basement; and with a nailgun for quietly taking out zombies while I clear out the remaining buildings.
It's not far enough in to have special zombies yet, but by then I should be clear of the town with a decent supply of useful things.

EDIT: This is in comparison to normally floundering around in houses and then getting killed after smashing a window and bringing the whole town down on me.

There is going to be a little change in something other than the game very soon. Be prepared to update your bookmarks, because I finally stopped being lazy.

(You won't actually HAVE to, but you can)

Have you worn a trenchcoat and a denim jacket?
I have, and the trenchcoat is barely cumbersome at all if it's worn right.
Unlike a denim jacket, that, unless it's just the right size, will bind just about every movement.
(Though it can interfere with running, but then, it's covering the legs ingame, whereas the denim jacket doesn't.)

On the other hand, a normal trenchcoat has no where near the storage capacity that the in-game one does. There's plenty of ways to modify it of course, but the 'coat of pockets' concept isn't a traditional trenchcoat.

Last I checked, a backpack capacity was 80 and a Trenchcoat was 14. Considering my trenchcoats, this seems reasonable for the amount of space they have.

am I remembering this wrong?

Backpacks have been dropped down to 40, and I always thought they were 24? Maybe that's a recent change as well.
(I believe the rucksack is the reason for the drop in storage, though I think it's a bit too much of a drop, and the ruck a bit too low.)

From what I remember, backpacks are now 40 and rucksacks are 80. Backpacks have 1 encumbrance and rucksacks have 2 encumbrance. So.. what's the point of the rucksack? It seems like it's exactly like wearing two backpacks. I guess convenience-wise, if you happen to find a rucksack before two backpacks, but.. eh.

Last I checked there was a penalty for wearing too many different things on the same spot.

..And on that topic, I suggest that you make it so that one can only wear one backpack OR rucksack.
To be honest, my problem tend to be amount of items rather than volume.

What causes a vehicle to lose its ability to cruise control, exactly? And how does one fix it? I've noticed that any sort of impact will cause it to happen but I don't know what's being damaged. Repairing the controls doesn't do anything.
