you launched one?!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Hey darkling are you the lead developer for this then ? And also what's next up for 0.4 I'm really looking forward to the next update :D
There's a prerelease out already, linked on the website. And final 0.4 shouldn't be too far away.

Kevingranade and I are the lead developers, and Ozone and ZPmorgan are also in the core dev team, we also accept contributions from basically anyone who wants to submit them.

Is it possible to move my current .3 save into the .4 prerelease or will that break too much stuff?

Let's just hope that MAD doesn't count for post-apocalyptic scenarios and that there isn't some other nutjob firing nukes somewhere else too.

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

There is a link to the forums where people are currently nutting out a tileset if that helps, Deon is working on sprites but cant have too many tilesets imo.

And I'm the guy who forced them to do it, and the webmaster. I'm hoping to get proper developer status soon, too. ;)

Yeahhhh, iodine tablets aren't for healing. As in real life, they are for protection from radiation.

IRL reasoning being that certain types of nuclear activities release large quantities of radioactive iodine. This iodine, when inhaled/ingested, will bind to stuff in cells, as normal iodine will, and stick around for a long, long time releasing a bunch of internal radiation, irradiating you from the inside out on a long term basis. Iodine tablets reduce this risk when taken shortly before or after exposure to radioactive iodine begins. It does this by basically megadosing you on iodine, making your body reject any excess iodine as unnecessary, flushing the radioactive stuff out relatively quickly.

Actually, this is false, the iodine only saturates the thyroid and prevents radioactive iodine form piling up in the thyroid gland, preventing damage to it(and only it) and thyroid cancer. Iodine has no beneficial effect whatsoever against radiation for any other organ. Also, iodine isn't the only radioactive thing you have to worry about, there's radioactive cesium for example, which gets absorbed by the entire body.

When I first found some iodine tablets I thought they were for purifying water.

Hrm, should make eating a cigarette clean out internal parasites if you have any.

They don't just appear by default now. If your using the recent versions spawns are static so your getting unlucky with zombies being nearby.

What i would LOVE to see is asic electric system in place, a small house generator running on gasoline, a solar panel generating some electricity during sunny day etc. mainly because i was repairing my car and then realise, hell i have a solar panel, why cant i hook it on the UPS to generatoe power and connect that supposly universal electric hub to the welder so i can repair that friggin cvar without wasting 2k unit of battery....

Also would be awesome to have panel fil up a storage battery hooked up to a house, so you can connect a headlight so you can read! Or hotplate to cook... stuff like that.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

And speaking of electricity; its awesome how shocker zombie shots electrify and spread through metal walls/lockers/fencing/etc. Nice little touch.

Or, in true DF science form, harness the lava of the rifts into the netherworld as geothermal power (or at least let me stick meat on a stick over them to cook it).

I'd be nice with an electricity system, i'd imagine most cities being without power due to a powerplant.being quite a strategic target. Maybe even fried from atmospheric detonations.

Though some hillbilly barn out in ass nowhere sure would have a windmill or something to keep shit running.
