Heh, i just realized something, if we wanted to be dramatic we could throw a gauntlet down on the count.
Dramatic and dead, that is. We won't be fighting the Count, but his Champion, after all. I'm pretty sure we're still less able than the Count's best soldier.

I say we joust, if we can find the necessary replacement equipment.  Otherwise inform the Duke that we must respectfully withdraw due to some equipment malfunctions.

Oh, and we should definitely show the Duke our sabotaged saddle. Making him suspicious that Count Foles is sabotaging HIS tournament would certainly be in our favor!

Dude, yes. Even if we lose, dying is unlikely, at worst, a broken rib in my opinion. We aren't unskilled at riding or taking a punch, this is just an incorporation of that and keeping our balance. Sure there are some parts we don't know but mix'n match right?

As long as we remain on the horse and keep our chin tucked, golden.

We should focus on our shieldwork as we joust, to prevent "accidental" slips of the lance.

Very much this. As well. It seems like we have more than a few of you would like to joust.

We already approached the duke with news of the count going after us a while ago.
he was sympethetic I guess, but what he needs is real evidence before he could do anything.

the tampered saddle is another nail, but we'll need something to tie it to the count to use as a hammer for that nail.

... also I really don't understand why "lets joust anyway" is so popular? why? what is there to gain?
Yolo really isnt advice to live by I think.

Jousting was a dangerous affair even when just sporting. us being unskilled doesn't help, And someone who obviously has plans for us to die during the joust makes it worse still.

sure... if you're going to go through with this our entire focus should be on staying alive.
I still think its silly and reckless though.

Lets not joust, No one will blame us having some tampering with our equipment in attempt to kill us, we should stay and watch just not take part.

And if we do this, we should still inform the duke of our sabbotage. showcasing the saddle as evidence of such and keeping it.

I'm also hoping that the Rat has some real evidence we could buy of him (through proxy or not, though I guess he probably figured out we were behind hiring him by now) , He knew enough to warn us. lets hope he has something tangible as well :)
