why is there a swarm of flies in my pancakes??!!
« on: December 27, 2012, 05:02:42 pm »

Was at a hotel recently and they had a self-serve pancake machine.  The pancake status symbol was a slowly blinking solid cursor.  My first thought was "Is that a mist or a swarm of flies?"

Figured one or two of you here might have a giggle over this, so here it is.  :)

Probably thats why they are used with pentagrams on covers of Satanic Black Metal albums.

Actually there can be a swarm of bugs in your pancakes

Biscuit Weavels are bugs that will go into your flour and eat it and usually die afterwords.

Nope they will die in your flour and pancake mix and will just look like black specs.

Completely over my head. I cannot even guess there is one.

it doesn't help that Afterwords sounds like a real word... isn't it?

Afterword (no s) is a real word. S'kinda' like a postscript or somethin'. Presumably afterwords would be the plural form of afterword.

Afterwords is apparently an album title, too. Huh.

The correct thing to have used there is afterward, so it's open to a pun if you use afterwords.

If you use 'afterword' when you mean 'afterward', maybe you should still be in the hospital. Or possibly hoping the day ends quickly so the wizard can recast before any enemies show up.
