The birds are attracted to fruit.  I think we can use that to ambush them while they're distracted.  We only have to kill one.

A reminder: we are blobs. On legs that don't even have any joints and are more of bumps than legs, really. Birds have shown ability and tendency to fly up at the slightest provocation (a creature approaching). There's absolutely no way we're going to ambush them, let alone deal enough damage sufficiently fast.

Then again, attacking from behind has worked well in the past (COUGH*The Sandwich*COUGH)

How exactly does losing one combatant out of four and getting the other three horribly mauled (all against a single, flightless enemy, neither of which parameters applies now) qualify as 'working well'?

Good point, but what I mean is, sneak attack. Try another way around, maybe find more creature to assimilate, then perhaps we will be able to somehow out fight/maneuver the birds. Perhaps stone/turtle form?

Well, I just thought of something interesting. Let's put a fruit creature on the edge of the pool closest to the birds (but staying within the pool's bounds) and then have a bean roll a fruit object to the spot between the fruit they're currently feeding on and the bait. Hopefully the birds will land in the pool and get absorbed. What do you think, guys?

Edit: actually, looking at the current state, they may be attracted by the bait directly. Anybody wants to try it out?

Dex, could you please notify us when you're closing up actions and their editing?

We don't have any fruits currently, tough. Let's just strip all the bushes first. I hope we will get forms that allow us to dig moats in the future, so we don't have to bring all our loot back up whenever we kill something.

Do keep in mind we have limited amount of fruit, as well.  If we use it up, we'll have to use fruit forms as bait.

...I was speaking about fruit creatures. Normal fruits would simply dissolve in the pool, wouldn't they?

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

I like Dariush's plan, but there's a problem: They didn't land to kill our last fruitform. I'm thinking my original plan of setting a fruit by the edge of the pool, and then hoping either one lands in it or we can spook them into shifting into it, is better.

Then again, this assumes a live bird can be goop'd in the first place. If not, all rushing one at once and hoping we take it out before it can fly off may be our only option.

Finally, we should avoid environmental damage where possible. I'm not particularly holding out for more free fruits or growing more bushes or whatever anytime soon, but it'd be nice to have as a possibility, at least.

Avoid damaging envrionment; we could grow more things.

Try tackling the birds en masse; they can't take off if a bean or two is on them.
