Elves Betrayed me?

Im playing a elf and i stopped in a elf village and every single person there charged me to kill me?! why? what did i do?

first off what mods are you using?
you can't get into an elf village without mods
second of all if you had a red message pop up when you got ambushed it might be elven bandits
another thing if you modded the raws so your elf could be a necromancer, and then you hit a corpse you raised, abandoned it, got a living companion and came back to the corpse, the corpse automatically becomes friendly and starts attacking your living companion, if he dies the civ hes with goes hostile with you

Is everyone suddenly playing in a really old version or something?


Anyway, if you're playing fortress defense mod, ferric elves are not normal elves. Otherwise, you may have hit some random friendly animal that was pet/livestock of some member of the elven civilization that this village may be part of, so you are now their enemy forever and ever.

Im using mods I created just a few tweeks like giving elves the ability to live in Cities so you can enter them.

It is possible that the town is part of a different elf civ that is at war with the civ your character comes from.

Are you sure?   I don't think that happens very often, even in pocket worlds.  Even if you can only pick one to start at, there are sometimes others, I think.
So, are you talking about civs in the raws?  I'm going to assume you are, because ^.  If not, then you can feel free to disregard me.

There are multiple civilizations based off of the one in the raws, it's likely you ran into another one.  Be careful though, fighting 'em may set off a loyalty cascade.

Are you sure?   I don't think that happens very often, even in pocket worlds. 

Pocket worlds start with only 5 civs (one of each race). With standard settings you get 2 civs of a race only if there are no biomes for one of the other races (no forests = no elfs, no plains = no humans and no mountains = no dwarfs).

You gave them the tag [LOCAL_BANDITRY]. That one makes them hostile to EVERYONE who is not a resident of their hamlet, even members of their own civilization.
