Has anyone tried skeet shooting?  Set up a drawbridge to fling goblins past the line of sight of marksdwarves?

I have done this more than I would like to admit, always by accident.  I once had a dwarf trapped under a retractable bridge.  I think he was dead a year before I realized what had happened.

I regularly sealed dwarves in water under grates when punching through aquifers. Almost made a cartoon about that.

I can honestly say I haven't. By the time I get crafts like that, I'm bottled up and out of reach.

To sell along with the goods inside.  I usually have better uses for wood, after all.

There's only two other uses for wood.

1. To jump start a coke-based metal industry.
2. Beds.

Surely you have enough for 200 beds and one smelting coke reaction.

Several years ago when I was just learning the game I discovered that monkeys can steal anvil the hard way.... right after embarking. As I remember it I was just two steps from setting up my forge when the theft announcements popped up. That was several versions ago so ymmv.

Oh and thanks everyone for the compliments I may not respond sometimes... this is because I post when I can and often it is late and I'm just getting the strip up.
