He then turned to the man who had appeared at the doorway.
"If you were already coming to fetch us...Then why are you offering to get us something? Is there something wrong?"

Bernant gave a start as the mad guardsman started waggling his gun around.
'They never miss a chance to whip out their equipment and show it off, do they, these army types?'

Out loud he said, raising his eyebrows in alarm and setting down his glass, "I say, man! You can't go putting holes in people simply because 'something feels wrong'! Why, you'd be gunning folks down every time your nose itched, it started to rain or your trousers were too tight! Can't you at least save it 'til after we've disembarked, there's a good fellow?"

Alba instantly froze when the guardsman whipped out his shotgun and cocked it right by her head. Had she really been traveling with heretics and madmen all along? Words catching in her throat, she slowly shrank back into her seat, praying silently to the Omnissiah.

Bernant Hurkov blanched as Gabriel said the last bit. 'How vulgar.'
The coarse guardsman hadn't so much as glanced at him the last time he spoke, though, so Bernant saw no use in trying again to reason with him. He kept his pistol trained on the madman from under the table he was sitting at.

"Gabriel, you should pay more attention to your surroundings. Greenskin might not be smart enough to shoot you while your back is turned, but others may not be so... obliging.

Roth fingers the little amulet hanging around her neck, still whispering a prayer to the God-Emperor under her breath.

When you finish speaking, you finally notice what has you on edge. Lho stick smoke is still wafting around the ceiling and a bottle of amasec is sitting next to the door. Evidently, he takes his job very seriously and you don't like being lied to.

Sebek glances away from the shotgun for just a second saying "Only the best for the servants of the God Emperor. The shuttle should be ready soon after we arrive but it would be unfortunate if you required something.
