"Did you sense anything about that presumed moving corpse? Can you extend your psychic influence to any area around our perimeter to detect any source of magic, ma'am?"

"N-no, I d-d-didn't sense anything. That's why it's silly. Silly. Just silly."

The party hears the crack of reins from the guides' side of camp but they can only see the light of two lanterns moving away from the campsite.

[Tiruin]

Mira turned to view the sight. "I'm...confused. Is that normal for our guides to get away from our position?"

[Yoink]

"Normal? If they've decided guiding us isn't worth the trouble, then yes, I suppose so."
Bernant exhaled slowly, tucked away his pistol and went back to the camp, muttering something about the savages and their lack of spine, not to mention whoever'd left that corpse there. He said, more loudly, "Well, I'm not about to let this pot of recaf go to waste; who would like some?"

>Relax with some nice, hot recaf.

>Keep an eye out for any other strange occurences whilst doing so-- I doubt I'm about to get much sleep after that.

Allion yells after them before turning to Roth,
"Roth! Can you reach them from here and stop them from leaving somehow?"
Allion pauses and looks around.

"Wait a second... Has anyone seen the Seer?"

[NobodyPro]

"I'm here." says Aristarchus as he emerges from one of the tents.

[Tiruin]

"Seer, did you sense anything that affected our camp?" Mira said.

[NobodyPro]

The Seer rubs his eyes, "Hmm... nothing. I was asleep until someone shot something."

[Yoink]

"Terribly sorry, sir," Hurk spoke up, looking apologetic, "We had a bit of an incident with some local fellow staring at us, you know. I offered him a drink but it turned out he was already dead." He shrugged his shoulders and went back to work, pouring another mug of recaf.

"Recaf, sir? I'm afraid it won't help you sleep. I'd offer tea or some-such but unfortunately I lacked the foresight to bring any."

>Offer the seer a cup of recaf!

[Dsarker]

"I...I don't think I can stop them. I can try...But I...I don't think I can do it..."

[Gamerlord]

"Don't worry Roth, if you can do it do it. If you can't don't worry about it."

[Caellath]

Lemanov acknowledges the Seer politely before giving him a quick summary of what had happened.

"Sir. We found a stationary corpse near the camp. Roth says she apparently saw it moving, but we are not sure about it. Does it match any phenomena that have happened recently in our destination or is it a prank by the locals?"

[Tiruin]

"Well I'm betting something moved it here, or on my word as a guardsman, I'm a very bad sentinel then and probably deserve several full demerits for my vigilance." Mira said, half serious at the fact that it may have been a local idea of a joke.

"Also, Roth...Forgive me if I was too authoritative with my requests. I don't know how a Psyker acts or feels...

"Don't worry about it if you can't do it, and you don't need to tell us what happened if it bothers you. I see no damage done but the idea that something is going on here - again, not your fault - and now we've some lead to catch on (other than barging in on the enemy of course)."

Drag the body into my tent, invite the seer and anybody else interested to join me then strip the body, study it's injures to determine how it died and try to work out what killed it based on the injuries. Search the clothing for anything of value or anything that might tell me where he came from.
