Good enough for me. Okay, +5 agi it is!

Mesor: Not sure about the others, but dodge quite obviously allows you to attempt to dodge attacks without a huge penalty to your agility.

Hey what bonuses do dodge, ciphers, survival grant?

Well, Dark Heresy is a DODGE or die game. You dodge an attack, or it will probably kill you.

Ciphers is used for keeping information secret. Survival allows you to survive in a desert or other places with hard conditions, as well as track.

I already lived through one attack but the fact that I got hit makes that point for me.

I'll take the dodge skill.
I've got a shield now but I'd rather not get hit at all.

I suppose survival could be handy for when the other guards(wo)man crashes our truck and we end up stuck out the arse-end of nowhere eating sand to survive. But then again, if you can't dodge you mightn't live long enough to reach that particular deadly situation. Decisions, decisions! :P

Oh, and I believe a shield uses WS to deflect attacks. Obviously, you need to be holding it to do so.

A Space Marine can kill you in one attack.

I know I do :).

And any time I'm using my axe or pistol I intend to be holding it.
I'd use it with the rifle to but trying to fire it one handed is begging for trouble.

I remember in the Rogue Trader campaign I was in: the stage was set for a big dust-up between the party and the core of the army of space pirates who were boarding the ship. They were all heavily armed, armoured, plenty of cover and all; it was obviously intended to be an epic battle... And then one of the PCs nuked him with a direct hit from a hellgun, leaving just his scorched legs on the floor. :P

Was a tad bit anticlimatic. Of course, by that point my character was already fleeing, stripping off his guardsman armour at a sprint and then bluffing his way onto an escape pod with a group of pirates, convincing them that the captain had just been killed by a bunch of "space marines and stuff!"
Naturally, the prisoners the pirates had been herding along were left to fend for themselves, although my character would of course claim credit for their rescue later on. ;)

Hurk takes some money from the Seer's funds and buys a concealed holster, though it is in poor condition and appears to have a blood stain on it, and some kind of local garb resembling a suit for 38 Thrones.
