Space Economy Game:
Goal: To collect twenty of each resource.
Start: To start you pick a “Home World” which gains +2 production to its related material. Also pick a letter/number/symbol-I-can-make-with-a-keyboard. This will denote a space/planet owned by you.
Actions: You can take one of the following actions for each planet you own.
1) You can build a ship that can do a variety of tasks. [See Space Ships]
2) Reinforce Planet. You can reinforce a planet to resist a planetary invasion launched by another player. [See Invasion]
3) Trade Directly. Each turn will have the “Market Prices” for 2 resources listed. You will not be able to negotiate these prices but they are always available and are the same for all players. They also take place immediately. [See Direct Trade]
Each player takes their turn and then I input the proper information before the next turn starts. It’s pretty basic.
Owning planets is key to this game. You must own them to gain resources. Each planet under your control gains you 1 resource a turn unless it is your Home-world in which case you gain 2 of its resources a turn.
You can acquire planets in 3 ways.
1) Move any ship type to an unoccupied planet to claim it.
2) Purchase a planet from another player. You transport the agreed upon resources to a planet they own via Commerce Ships. Once the shipment arrives you earn their planet.
3) Invasion. If you have a Military Ship in the space adjacent to their planet you can attempt to take it over by force. Be careful though other players tend not to like this.
There are five resources in the game. Each has its own uses. Obviously though you want to spend as little as possible as you need 20 to win the game. Each player starts off with 5 of each resource.
Redium: A radioactive material used in blasters.
Lisium: A metal often used in metal plating.
Neblium: A metal used in armor.
Mythium: A metal used in Merchant ships due to its ability to soften impacts.
Prosium: A metal used in thrusters.
Space-Ships are your envoys to the galaxy. Use them to conquer or trade your way to victory. You may only build ships on empty spaces bordering your planet. To do battle with space-ships your ship must be in an adjacent square to the unit it is going to attack.
Each ship has the following stats:
Plating: How much damage this ship can take before being destroyed.
Speed: How many spaces it can move a turn.
Firepower: How much damage it does.
Armor: How much damage this ship filters out from an attack. Be careful though, if two or more ships attack at once they can overpower even the best of Armor. [3FPW-2ARM=-1 PLT]
Hull Space: How many units of resource a ship can carry. Destroying an enemy ship gives you as many of its resources as you can carry.
Cost: While not listed the cost for each ship depends on its stats. For each point in a stat you must pay one extra resource.
1. Lisium for plating.
2. Prosium for Speed
3. Redium for Firepower
4. Neblium for Armor
5. Mythium for Hull-space.

NOTE: Always costs 12 of each resource. This ship destroys everything [including planets] in each adjacent space when it detonates.
Ortillary
Plating: 1
Speed: 1
Firepower: 4
Armor: 0
Hull Space: 1
A cheap spaceship, centered around a large laser cannon.
Multipurpose Drone
Plating: 1
Speed: 1
Firepower:1
Armor: 1
Hull Space:1
A very cheap unmanned drone. It can be used for anything from mining operations to light combat.
Frigate
Plating:2
Speed:2
Firepower:0
Armor:4
Hull Space: 4
Carrier
Plating: 3
Speed: 1
Firepower: 1
Armor: 3
Hull space: 6
A large ship designed to transport ships incapable of interstellar flight. Fighters take a single space while Flotillas take two. This ship is incapable of carrying resources. This unit may release its load at any time whether all at once or one at a time is up to the captain. If the Carrier is destroyed so is its payload.
Fighter
Plating: 0
Speed: 1
Firepower: 2
Armor: 1
Hull Space: 0
A small, fast ship incapable of moving between systems, but can quickly over-whelm enemies when released from Carriers.
Can only be constructed inside of Carriers. Fighters have a life-span of 2 turns when released by the Carrier.
Flotilla
Plating: 2
Speed: 0
Firepower: 5
Armor:2
Hull Space: 0
A massive battery of weaponry that has no ability to move on its own. Its circular pattern and 8 main cannon ensures that no less than 6 are trained on an enemy at any time. It has a limited life-span when outside of a carrier however, lasting only 2 turns. Can only be created within Carriers.
Templar
Plating: 1
Speed: 3
Firepower: 0
Armor:1
Hull Space: 0
A unmanned drone refitted to allow it to destroy carriers without risking man-power. This ship is only capable of attacking Carriers and cannot be targeted by Fighters or Flotillas.
Is another player not sharing their resources? Do they have a monopoly? Do you want a monopoly? Well maybe you should consider Invasion!
To initiate an invasion all you have to do is attack a planet as though it were a ship. However there are a few complications. Namely how reinforced a planet is.
To reinforce a planet all you have to do is spend money on Firepower or Armor. Much the same, really, as if you were buying a ship. All planets have only 10 Plating though with no way to increase it. Unlike ships however your planet regains health by paying Lisium. 1 per Plating.
To increase Firepower you must pay Redium and to increase Armor you must pay Neblium. The cost however scales.
N=2N [Where N is the number you want the stat increased to.]
Reinforcements are destroyed when your planet is destroyed.
[So I wanna test out this game I made up today and see how I could improve it. If you need clarification on anything or want me to change/add things just say so. I’ll do my best. By the way the map you’ll be playing on will be below. DO NOT CLAIM A HOME-WORLD UNTIL ALL 5 PLAYERS HAVE JOINED!]
