So... I've been on this forum for a while, some of you know me.  I've been thinking that I need an avatar, but I have no ideas what to use.  Anyone have ideas?
Also, this is right forum to ask this on, right?

Seriously though, generally you fit your avatar to something you find somewhat meaningful or fitting or whatever. Some day someone will place where mine comes from and many things will fall in place for them, hohoho.

And I guess GD fits. It'd either be here, life advice, or creative projects.

I think GD fits fine. And. Well. No. I don't think you should force yourself into a avatar. I think you should only get a avatar if you find something that feels right to you. Have a reason. Even if it is not a strong one, at least make it a good one.

And yeah, I'm not forcing an avatar, I just have zero creativity.  And it would make me more memorable and such.  I hardly notice which posts are mine, honestly.

Having an avatar makes you more memorable, but it also forces a character upon you. This is why it's best to have one that fits your character. If you want to be remembered, get an avatar; even if it doesn't fit you, people will have a quicker time making up an actual mental profile of you. Few highly notable forum members are without avatars, because it takes more.

Essentially, it doesn't matter. Your contributions should be held as more important than what people think of you.

Alright, so I've found some really cool olde-style tarot card pictures.  Some of them (the lovers, the devil) contain nudity (it's not realistic, but better safe than sorry).  So it won't be all of the cards, but I'll be able to include most of them in a randomizer.  Hopefully.

One of Japa's avatars had nudity, iirc, and noone had issues with it.

On the other hand, avatars without nudity have been warned against. If it may offend or otherwise discomfort people, it's best to avoid it.
