"Heh. So you're my twin's friends. Pathetic."

Richard walks out of the mist. The only problem being that his eyes are golden, like Shadow!Camille.

He's holding a black Evoker, and above him, a twisted version of Sarimanok, with red eyes and ruined wings, screeches.

"I expected a better force. Guess poor Richie really has no friends.

[Twi]

Marie stares at Shadow!Richard.

"Heeey. How come you're here and he isn't? That makes no seeeense~"

Meanwhile, Camille looks at Shadow!Richard... Then stares... Then.

"OHMYGODHUGME."

High-speed glomp attack!

(('Pretty' shadow eyes + richard= dooooom. ))

Shadow!Richard switches to Shadow!Galahad and blocks Camille's glomp with it before dating a large, black long sword.

"He's nearby. I've locked him up, see. Gagged him and knocked him out so he can't deny me and make me go away.

And I'm here to end you before you fuck this up. I watched you guys take out Shadow Camille. An easy fight.

But one which I believe makes you a threat to me."

[Twi]

" Oh, now that IS kind of mean. Too bad we have a specialist in dealing with people who arrrre unconscious! Rrrright,Marrrie? "

"Uh, I guess I could try. Fine. "

Marie brings the worms out again, this time to find Richard! Off they go, ignoring the Shadow!Richard.

She also looks at the Shadow she is probably still holding.


Camille, meanwhile, just speeds around Galahad and tries to tackle-hug Shadow!Richard again.

Maria, meanwhile, draws  her Evoker and summons Santa Anna! Who...does nothing for the moment.

"You really think I didn't expect mind worms? I saw you kill my underling."

Shadow!Richard just points in the direction Camille is coming from with his sword, monologuing.

"Impale yourself upon this sword. I'll tell Richie that I killed his girlfriend AND the rescue party.

How delightfully evil and un-savvy of me. On second thought, I'll cripple you instead, Camille? Nah, too long. Cammy will do for now."

[Twi]

Camille looks at the sword, shrugs, and pulls her laser out.

And shoots the sword.

..That was the push beam. It is quite capable of wrenching a sword out of someone's hand. Or if it's stuck in Shadow!Richard's hand, then it's probably strong enough to push him around!



"Ehh. Give me a second to find something scarier, then. "


Meanwhile, Maria starts laughing at Richard.

"You never DID take those sword lessons, you know! Just thought I would let you know and all that. "

She draws Arandal and begins advancing.

Santa Anna, meanwhile, plants her banner and begins to do her normal thing. I'm too lazy to think of something for her to say.

Holdfast used, party defense increased!

Shadow!Richard smirked and held the sword horizontally, parrying the beam.

"And you never read TvTropes, Maria. We're not in the real world.

We're in the world of people's hearts, shaped by their expectations, beliefs and innermost desires. I manifest as part of that. I don't NEED those sword lessons."

He swaps to Shadow!Ixion and zaps the party, knocking down Gaston and Alith.

"Merde!"

"Shit!"

((Hohoho, not that easy to kill him yet. Isn't it a bit early to be facing Richard's Shadow and killing it?))

[Twi]

Camille is zapped!

"Ow. That hurrrt a bit. "

She switches to her pistol and alpha-strikes at Shadow!Richard, before running like hell.

Maria doesn't even notice and continues advancing. Santa Anna flinches, but seems to be alright, and continues using Holdfast.


Marie, on the other hand, flickers for a bit. Then she has an idea.

" Hehe, good one. But you know what? I can do that too! After all, this IS a fantasy setting. And there are some things that always work. Some enemies are always tough. I've read TvTropes, too. And I presume you know how magnetism works. You might even know what a ferrofluid is."

Her form seems to be slowly distorting, as if her shapeshifting is more difficult, but she's doing it. Is she...turning into mercury? She's still standing...

((Isn't it a bit early to be facing him? ))

((He did say he wanted to finish you off first. He won't risk you getting too powerful off killing other Shadows. I think it was off the Evil Overlord's List somewhere that if the good guys kill one of the guys you've sent after him, kill them before they get too strong.))

"This has no definable genre! We've got a robot girl, a shapeshifting maniac, an undead force-wielder, a doppelgänger and a duellist on the floor, unconscious, and a smartass engineer who loves Touhou!"

Shadow!Richard is injured by the blasts, but laughs.

"I'm not a human. That won't hurt me as badly as it would."

He winces and switches to Galahad, who slashes at Santa Anna.

[Twi]

((Fair enough.))


" So? "

Camille switches to cryolaser and fires at Shadow!Richard.

Santa Anna, meanwhile...Is hurt even less than by the lightning. She counterattacks with her saber!

Maria is still approaching Shadow!Richard.

Marie shrugs, still shifting.

"But you're a product of modern fantasy yourself. Although this place DEFINITELY has romance. Yours, to be specific.

Anyways...I wonder if you've played Dragon Quest? "

Galahad duels with Santa Anna, luring her away from the party.

Shadow!Richard grunts when the cryolaser hits him.

"Ooh, how COLD of you, Cammy.

And my romance? That would be my soon-to-be-dead twin. Who seems to be deluded to what is a romance and what is just a close friendship. Though he'd never know the difference, bloody loner."

[Twi]

Santa Anna is still anchored to her banner! Though to be fair, she is probably even less effective against Galahad than he is against her.

"I didn't know you liked puns. "

Camille smiles and switches to the normal, hot laser.

Meanwhile, Maria is getting kinda close by now.

And Marie has almost entirely shifted. A feminine but relatively indistinct (aside from the face, which is pretty detailed) human form, made entirely out of liquid metal- perhaps mercury, of course.

" Oh, so you want to commit suicide? Didn't think you the type. "

"No, and you're not getting my plan out of me."

Shadow!Richard parries the blast from Camille with his sword.

"Ooh. Spicy!"

((Wait, what? Is he actually blocking anything with that? I'm confused.

Not to mention that Camille and Marie are, y'know, on opposite sides of the room unless Shadow!Richard spawned right next to the latter. Camille is all up in his business either way, while Marie has been hanging back.))
