Also since we don't have creeper griefs we could make dungeons for adventures! I just realized that! That's my megaproject for next server.

I think we have to wait with such constructions until mountainhome has it's basic needs in place.

Moving to 1.4.2 and build 60 right now. Hang tight. Brilliant news is, the random seed when I first tested it out put the spawn right at the giant mountain range that looks awesome.

I installed and tested with the following versions:

Forge Build 6.0.1.341 http://files.minecraftforge.net/minecraftforge-universal-recommended.zip
Player API Universal 1.1 http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/738498-142api-player-api/
TFC Build 60 http://www.terrafirmacraft.com/download/
Smart Moving V11.5 http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/361430-142smp-smart-moving/

So that is what you need for the new version.

We should setup a small camp nestled up to the mountain while we prepare for digging the fort out. Try to keep from building anything big out of logs though. Its a terrible pain to tear them down later!

I've saved the old world in a backup. I'm planning on doing a final render for it sometime so we can see the whole world we explored in our first run. Also I could put the save up if there is much demand.

Lalzar draws pictures of a forge.
Lalzar draws pictures of darkness.
Lalzar has gone stark raving mad!

Emergency dirt fort complete. Now get in there and start some industry! We only have a few trees, so make sure to get as many saplings as possible.

The mountain range is HUGE! It goes on quite a bit further than the picture shows. Also seems to be a lot of traces of ore on the surface.

So it seems all i needed to do is use magic launcher to install everything.

So perhaps i (GN:lalzar)can be whitelisted?

I keep breaking this mod...

EDIT: Apparently you have to delete TFC's config files when upgrading, it's working fine now.

EDIT2: You left spawn protect on and it covers most of Dirtfort. Due to this I have created an outpost appoximately 7 blocks from your original storage and crafting area. I dub this location "North Dirtfort". Gaze upon its glory.

EDIT: NVM, it's back

Very well, I've set a basic forge with bloomery and a bunch of Cassiterite I mined.

So I guess we can Strike the Earth now!

(I'll leave such interior design to others though :P)

EDIT: ** CAUTION ** there is some bug, I put the charcoal and the bloomery disappears. Not sure what triggers it, it worked for the first ingot...

That's hardly an outpost if it's not that far.
Besides, he said it will be fixed once server resets again.

terrafirma won't run... ( crash as soon as I login into minecraft)

some people suggested deleting config files, but there seem to be none? where would I find them?

edit: nevermind, found

edit2: still crash however. I'll try forcing an update and clearing my bin.

also, which version is server using? I think it is 59, but latest build is 60.

edit3: done!

The bloomery problem has to be something server-side, it isn't happening when I create a single-player world.

I'm sure the error log in the server must be showing some exception when it happens... usually Minecraft gets rid of blocks that cause errors. HOWEVER, usually not before it crashes everything :P

I checked the changelog and bug forum, interestingly, there doesn't seem to be any reports of this bug.

From other news: we struck the earth! The first part of the future fortress is complete (for now)!

Arrgh Nate isn't on and now I will have to wait until a weekend to get on the server.
There goes any potential productivity I guess.
