You ... could smack the Tall Grass like I did and get seeds. Sometimes you kill a yellow mouse with a weird tail but they aren't worth anything. Anything at all.

It is based in Dallas, TX. Server should be fine, 5 people on right now and everyone reports no lag. Maybe do a traceroute to the server.

I think I figured a way around bloomeries being so bugged. The problem doesn't seem to be the chunk that they're built on, but the direction they're facing. I noticed that when building a north facing bloomery and adding coal, the bloomery block would rotate east or just simply disappear. Both would render it useless and eat the coal.

After going through a bunch of blocks trying to find the solution, I tried building a southern facing bloomery and it appears to be working now.

I found a wonderful Haste III meal (4 minutes).
I'll send a couple of stacks back to mountainhome. scrdest tried it, so you can ask him for his experiences.
of course, it needs to be heated before it works properly.

Every time someone mentions an opening ceremony in MC, I can only remember possibly the best SMP bug ever.

It was a vanilla server, RMM home server. The first PvP update came out, and we threw a big military procession followed by a party afterwards. The procession was neat and we had some cool stuff built, and then the 2nd in command kicked off the party. By quaffing a bucket of milk. Unfortunately, the game tried to place a milk block. The server crashed and the map was unsalvegable.
FUN was had when the server had to rollback to before most of the procession corridor was done.

I've never played Terrafirmacraft but it sounds really fun!

I think it would be a good idea for you to toy around in SSP for a while: the mod changes quite a lot, so you'll probably want to learn the ropes first.

Well.. I've read the stone age guide in the wiki, currently playing it in SSP to try it out so I think I'll be fine. There are major changes but it's not exactly hard to follow along... I did learn how to play DF after all. :P
