Excellent.

Martin comes back to the tavern carrying a bag of magic rocks and a sword made of purple stone as tall as he is.

Races of the dragon, Kobold only. I made sure he was not using it for schenanigans.
I'm not even sure what shenanigans it COULD be used for. Other than a stupid age thing to get +3 to all mental stats.

Why, hello there, Cloud.

I'm fairly sure Asraen's sword is as tall as he is, er both of them are. But they're normal greatswords, not ridiculous looking FF swords. :P

A greatsword as tall as a halfling is only like longsword sized on a normal guy. So it's not that ridiculous looking.

I'm not even sure what shenanigans it COULD be used for. Other than a stupid age thing to get +3 to all mental stats.

Dragons also get size increases, bonus HD and spells per day if they get old enough. So it could be like that.

However, it dosen't make you a true dragon- it only makes you of the dragon typ. Kobolds do, in fact, have the same names for their age catagories as dragon's do, but a Kobold who sits on his arse for a century does not get stronger, while a true dragon would.

In order:
We delved deeper into the cave after the ambush. We encountered some blood stuff, and Asraen threw some meat into it, it exploded into a Red Slime of some sort. Lenna summoned a G-Cube on top of the slime and slimecest ensued. We encountered a door that we eventually opened, and inside was zombies and a mistmonster. Blace flipped out in this room, but thankfully didn't turn on us. We descended the ladder in the room, and came into the lair of a Monologuing dude and his minions. He monologued for a few minutes, "Evil is inevitable, blah blah blah..." We tried to extort taxes from him, and failed, so combat began. We were right in the middle of the battle and went to bed.

We killed those two critters, a slime, four zombies, a mistmonster, and at least three skeletons and more than likely a crazed man. We were about to lay the holy smackdown on the Big Bad.

I'm assuming the dude was the Big Bad. He sure talked like one. He had a couple mind-controlled (?) servants but they didn't talk much.

No idea.

None yet.

You guarded the ladder, with great valor. :P

Did I at least get XP for what I assume I did during the first combat?

As far as I can tell, everyone in the party gets full XP even for encounters they didn't show up to.

Rule 1.5 of RPGs: Don't split the party (in experience level).

Also, I learned that taking both Bloodline levels and LA is BAD. I have 22 HP. Yes, 22.

Big bad was going to completely gib me (and still could if wrex felt like being evil) and then Wrex remembered that the big bad uses 3d6 instead of d20 rolls. End result? Not a single hit. I got incredibly lucky.

Poor Hektor is a one hit wonder. :P Even Drakruldus has more health than you and he's Small. This is why Raiss and Asraen try to stay in between the bad guys and the not bad guys.

It'll be fine. Plus, if we've earned more than 2,000 XP before the boss fight, I'm actually at 33 HP.
