Congradulations on the Hazzat victory.  It seems that peace is within our grasp once more.  Dragana of Li Halan looks forward to a life of quite retirement, waging crusade against the symbiots.

Il Palazzo, do you wish to throw in the towel now?

Yeah, I'd like to see those nobles of his die. I think with 7 turns left it's inevitable, but 70 turns deserves a little more fanfare I'd say.

Not even going to bother apologizing for this one.  Turn sent.

I had no idea that I was apparently at war with Li-Halan for at least some time.  And Kebooo now has enough cities to break the summary screen.

Yeah I've been at war with everyone for most of the OOC time of this game.  Someone just following the savegame would think I'm a phariah not universally loved.

Well it just occurred to me that I probably never asked to end that state of war after I killed your Assassins.  Not that any of that does or doesn't make your a pariah.

Oh what a tangled web of implications this game was.

Everybody in the game either crossed me or was angry at me, which means that I played it correctly.

I feel like my most cordial relations were with Aqizzar, in the grand scheme of the game, despite having completely betrayed his mandate at Cadavus. I might have said Margrave if not for that whole "give me stealth raider technology or I'll make sure Li Halan get the imperial fleet to fight you with" deal. Oh and how I secretly wanted all of Cadiz from the get go but realized I was stretching myself too thin and couldn't afford al-Malik getting mad when I had transports above it. I can't remember the excuse I made up.

And let's be honest, the only reason you and I were cordial is because we were on opposite side of the galaxy from each other, and because you essentially made a pariah yourself and then had no voting presence on Byzantium, so I had no reason to fear you.

Not that having a reason to fear another player had any effect on my strategies, clearly.

I believe at the time you were knee deep in Li Halan and I was doing my damndest to rush units there and claim it. Really, a good portion of this game has been me frantically rushing units and transports before everyone else claimed the worlds around me. You can imagine my despair in trying to assemble a half assed force out of colony ships and frigates when the Hazat started proclaiming their intention to attack the Vau.

That bit of extortion (if I may toot my own horn) was particularly inspired as far as double crossing goes. Then again if I had simply gone along with either giving Il Palazzo the Fleet and screwing over mainiac, or giving mainiac the Fleet and screwing over Palazzo then the current state of affairs would never have happened and I may have been Regent. Happily or not.

The turn will get out sometime tomorrow night.

At least somebody understands me.  I happened to start in a much smaller box.

(Turn sent.)

I feel your pain Aqizzar. The only thing worse would be to have too much space and succumb to death by micromanagement. A most gruesome way to die.

Turn sent, it's so liberating to not give a crap about my micromanagement anymore.

I saw the turn and I'm definitely up for keeping this going, if you guys are willing.

However, I do not understand why my relics gave me no bonus in that battle over Byzantium? This is a major bummer indeed.
Also, damn, had I remember that fighters can be scouted out from the carriers, so to speak, I would have thrown away the lives of the brave Imperial Fleet servicemen somewhat more efficiently.

I'll send the turn out sometime later today.

I definitely want to continue, we must leave no doubt that Lazarus the tyrant, usurper and pretender is unfit to rule the known worlds.

What do you mean about the bonus? Did it not show up in your battle report? I saw it in mine. I had the stronger fleet with one relic to your two, and it was a pretty even result from round one, perhaps you with the edge. But round two, for whatever reason, saw you hit nothing, and it's probably because of a lot of the targeting going to my freshly unspotted archangels.
