It might be worthwhile for Palazzo to update the thread title every time the save goes around, if that's not too huge a pain in the ass.
Actually, I've been doing that each time the turn got to me, only I've been updating the galactic date only, which quite frankly is not that easy to notice and remember. On top of that, I forgot to do it last turn.
I've added the turn number now, counting the turn when we did nothing as 0th.
Also, I've been thinking of ways to inject more politics, roleplay and maybe eventually drama into the game. This might come in a form of additional house rules, or an in-game charter. I'll post it once I get a clearer vision of what it should be all about.
The gist of it is that we'd pretend there's an actual senate(that's basically us) that needs to be presented with claims to planets, and we vote whether any house's claims are accepted(land granted) or not. This might lead to illegal colonisation, sanctioning of the use of Fleet to bomb the shit out of offenders, and give some use for the Eye - checking on the houses whether they abide by the rules, and possibly allow bribing the controller to say that it is/isn't so.
The senate could also vote for or against any galaxy-wide law proposed by any of the houses during the game.
It'd probably come into effect with turn 9(so a decade before the elections).
Consider this proposition, whether you'd agree with that or not, or if you would like to add something to spice the game up yourself.
Oh, and turn sent.
