I'll post it just once, as I really hated the "whose turn is it?" mantra from the previous games.

This game is supposed to be of a "no rush" variety, but all the same, I'd encourage you to check your email boxes periodically, and simply remember that you're in a game. Holding up the turn because you're busy is fine, but doing so because it slipped your mind is less cool.

Maybe my email didn't send properly?

Depends which turn you're thinking of. The second one(year no. in the thread title) is past me, and most likely past Kebooo.

But you bring up a valid point. Sometimes an email might fail to get to the destination, I suppose.
I was hoping we could avoid this, but maybe an obligatory "turn sent" message ought to be posted by each player after they finish their turn? That'll let us make sure we've done our part properly.

I feel like that would be a sound rule.  Annoying, but sound.

Aqizzar, did you receive my pm with the link to the turn? If not, is there an e-mail you'd prefer?

For the record my glorious new email address is Aqizzar (at) myself.com which I contend is the best email address ever.

Okay, we clearly need to work on our communication.  I never got a PM, but I did finally get the email, I swear it didn't show up in my inbox until hours after it was timestamped.

Unfortunately, the game is suddenly not playing ball with me.  Everything from config tweaks to deleting and re-unpacking the game files has failed to escape a loop-crash where the game tries to look for a CD.  Considering the game doesn't even require a CD to play, I don't know what's going on there, and I'm still trying to fix it.  And more unfortunately, I'm working late this week, so I won't even be able to mess with it until twelve hours from now.

Yeah, this revisit is definitely off to a riproaring start.

It's a registry issue, I've run into it before. Unfortunately, my fix was to hack the registry to point it to my CD drive. Because I have the CD.

Hmmm, did you at least get my pm? The one pertaining to the Very Important Issues?

Anyway, as long as we know where we're standing it's all good.
I can't help you with the CD issue, though. As far as I remember, the usual solution was to keep restarting the game until it works.

Yeah, I got your PM.  I'll respond when I can open the game.

That hasn't happened yet BTW, and since I just got off an eleven hour shift at the code mines, not in much of a mood for bugfixing at the moment.

When I install using the efs.zip I have, I'm asked about adding an entry to the registry, did you get that?

Yeah, and I agreed to it.  The program worked fine a few times, now it wants a CD.

Well, I don't know what fixed it, but the game works for me again.  I think having Chrome running somehow interfered with it, but who knows.

My apologies to anyone I get into PM conversations with, I can get fucking wordy.  Maybe we should all agree to post private conversations in the thread at some point, either at the "end" if the game ever clearly ends or many turns after they're relevant.  It just seems like such a waste for so much work to go into stuff only one other person will ever see.

Now I kinda wish I'd stuck with a default name too, "Aqizzar" still looks weird to me almost everywhere.

I guess we post as soon as the involved parties agree the information is no longer sensitive?
