No. What would really be awesome is if these colossi evolved to shoot adamantine face-crabs at foes. When the flying spinning face-crab decapitates said foe, it climbs into the neck, animates the corpse, and turns it into an adamantine Man, which eventually grows into a colossus and repeats the process. THAT would be unforeseen, and quite a consequence that just keeps on giving!

Cassandra likes elves for their taste, Cobalt for it's pretty colors, and kittens for their cute intentions. She is incredibly strong, but horribly unlucky, and speaks with a rasping accent. She is white with black eyes. She likes dwarves for their hilarious intentions.

You could kill the adamantine colossus by luring him into a body of water that is prone to freezing and wait for him to get encased in ice.

From the title of the thread, I expected you to have caused a Resonance Cascade.
Same here.

Quit adventuring, start a fort, wait for him to immigrate and burrow him on an atom smasher. Then fire it. Presto chango, problem solved.

Did I mention that the only things I did to it were replace [NO_THOUGHT] with [CAN_LEARN] and [CAN_SPEAK], and switch BRONZE with ADAMANTINE, and add some stuff...also put it in the CIVS and  INDIV CONTROLLABLE
so its still a megabeast, and cant be atomsmashed

Interesting...I DID give them the ablity RAISE DEAD, maybe I can edit that in...hm...given most of its format is replacing tags...hm...dear god, you gave me an idea....

heres the creature raw btw:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
also i put this at the bottom of entity default, and copied the dwarf civ data but for them, and made every civ have human type settlements, so they would spawn in the first place:
[ENTITY:MEGA_BEAST]
   [CREATURE:COLOSSUS_ADAMANTINE]
   [INDIV_CONTROLLABLE]
and this is the ability that i added in:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
i had to not have ENEMY OF LIFE in the colossi, so they wouldnt be attacked automatically and be unable to get quests...the main problem is they keep reviving the dead, who i have to kill AGAIN to complete the quests...so i need to modify that anyway.
this idea intrigues me. maybe by modifying and adding in lines from the WEREWOLF data, I can get this...I'll get right on that, actually.

DEAR GOD, what did you get me to do:

along with the above creature raw, this will result in complete population change, I think...

no way to get them on my side yet, without having the raw of adamantine colossus have: OPPOSED_TO_LIFE as a tag. and removing OPPOSED_TO_LIFE from the remove tags from ADAMANTCURSE

this is of course the protoform, and the previous suggestions are also quite welcome if anyone can figure out how to make it happen

it surpassed my expectations when the converted beings started converting MORE enemies...

changes made, started up new world: THE INFINIITE UNIVERSES
is that a sign? that my creations will assimilate and conquer everything in existance?
I certainly hope so.
giving it high civs, max beasts, and 250 years

so, ive made a species of immortal invincible death gods, that can raise the dead, perform the acts of all the megabeasts, and can convert anything into more of them...what next, shall i change their ethics to be okay with anything?
war: happen, enemies: join the horde

We need to alter this slightly and make the Borg.  Then run it through world gen and see if the humans can fight off the giant borg ship that will eventually assimilate the entire planet unless killed!  No line-of-site conversions, it would need to be done by piercing the skin.  They would need to be metal (weak metal preferably) but still have all the organic parts of a human.  I have never modded anything like that before, so it would take me forever to make something even close lol.

(edit:  something like this may already exist, but I never visit the modding section...)

with that, you just need to do the standard werewolf bite, which the interaction for can be found under RAW; INTERACTIONS

as for the metal bodies, you would have to change the tissue templates, this was easier for the bronze colossus as it only used one. i dont knowhow to go about doing this for the more complex beasties, and am fairly newbish at raw editing.

Can you give them specific speech tendencies. As in: "you will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." Also would it be possible to implement a way to cure them (as in what happened to Picard) by poking out the brain (for example)?

okay, now i've got an ACTUALLY unforseen consequence...i was wondering why i wasn't getting any megabeasts as quests, just...goblin warlords...then i realized, i had copied over the ENTIRE bronze colossus file, and so the megabeasts...were all adamantine colossi...they all overpopulated the rest...sigh...gen new world
