Best Embark Ever

I found a spot where 2 major rivers both start.
Lets see you do better.

The amount of malice in this thread is actually causing me some concern. I mean, chaining up mothers and forcing them to breed, just so we can drown their children to harvest their organs? Does this strike no one else as absolutely horrific?
You misspelled 'hilarious'

First thought: eh.
Thougth after seeing picture: Holy Shit.

Ehh, the best embark I've played on was a large canyon, with 2 rivers intersecting and 7 z-level water fall.

Dig a hole in the middle as the entrance to your fort with two channels connected to it that have floodgates on the end of them, then connect both the rivers to the channels so you can completely seal yourself off with water.

It looks pretty. But I generally avoid rivers like the plague, after reading that they're a significant drain on FPS.

If I were to embark there, though, I'd be tempted to try a sort of "pole village".

Pretend by building wooden structures in the water perhaps?

Sadron is pulling your leg, methinks.

Awesome embark... though I think Toady could do some work on the starting points of major rivers. :P
