No! I think it's fine just the way it is, and to hell with all who dare say otherwise!

Yes, but I have no idea how it should be done!

Yes, by setting a base limit for the amount of time that passes per update. (specify limit below)

Why yes, DZA, I am indeed well aware that I am wasting my vote by selecting this completely useless poll option.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

If put in that situation, I would probably get Dark in control, then have him summon a metric ton of spirits and ghosts under his command to mass rush the spirit...then tell them to all fight each other to the death for laughs.  Maybe at the same time.

Vitae would attempt to prove that it wasn't a ghost and the old lady was being a superstitious fleshy primitive, as they are wont to do. When faced with failure and prove of its reality, probably a full scale investigation into the spirit.

Well, any encounter with the supernatural will lead to TorZon learning magic, so the world's even more fucked, but it'd likely try and fail to absorb the ghost and then learn of magic in order to eliminate it as a threat.

Hmm.  Which would be worse: Torzon actually managing to absorb the ghost without failing, or Torzon learning magic?

Far as I can tell the only way he'd absorb the ghost would be by learning magic, but learning magic by far. TorZon's the type of entity that would exploit magic to exponentially replicate itself and stuff like that.

Nah, I just reckon me continuing to fail at keeping up a reasonable rate of updates is all. Can't expect the general level of activity to be very high when the game itself is moving along at the speed of a geriatric land whale (something I still intend to change...at some point).

Ohh yes, my damnable procrastination habits definitely play a significant role in the issue. I just wish that were the only thing keeping me from dedicating more time to the updating of this game, as it would leave me with a great deal less stuff to fret over on a daily basis.

Do you even have time for anything else? I feel like this game is arseloads of work.

Admittedly, I must often force myself to make time, for I am a man of many passions.
A tragic fate it is, being gifted with such great skills and ambitions, yet cursed never to have enough time to fully utilize or fulfill any of them...

As I've probably mentioned before, there's a lot to research and keep track of, and attempting to simulate an open, living world that accurately changes and reacts in accordance with the actions of each Chosen One is indeed a bit of a daunting task at times. Fortunately for us all, my love of writing and storytelling for the most part keeps me motivated enough to stay on top of it all.

You'll have officially pooled together enough mana to cast the Worldfire spell after the timer hits 9:50, so about 25 minutes left. Exciting, no?

Mostly the demanding part sounds like the whole timer thing. But that's just me.
