I'm good, just wanted to make sure you were okay.

Oh, you need not worry about me. More bogged-down with highly irksome issues than I'd like at the moment, but nothing beyond what I'm capable of handling. As a matter of fact, in all the months I've spent at my current location, I've not had a single serious injury or threat against my life, and so far only one indecent in which the cops were called on me. So in that regard at least, I'd say I'm doing quite well.

Til then, I hope you all will continue to be content in simply musing over all of the terrible, awful glorious ways in which your respective Chosen Ones shall forever change the course of humanity.

I'm half wondering what would happen if all of the chosen ones wound up forming an X-Com organization in defiance of the rulings you laid out, neither unifying or destroying humanity.

I have a few vague contingency plans set aside for just such an occasion, though you're perfectly free to attempt such a thing if you wish. Hell, you could even take it a step further and actively seek to destroy/overthrow me. With an immense amount of effort and some absurdly lucky rolls, you may even succeed. Nothing is set in stone.

Aaanyway, got most the update done. It's turning out just a tad longer than I thought it would. Will sit down and finish the rest as soon as I have the time.

No biggie. If there's no new posts within the next day or so, we'll just jump ahead to The Moderator/Zan's action results.

Oh man. I remember reading that in the morning on the day it came out and getting really excited and going "I'm gonna do my action right when I get home!"

Then I forgot.

The end.

..Sorry.. :c

I wonder how long it's been in game time since Jorn last did something?

Like I said, no biggie. Besides, I'm in no position to rush your guys' actions considering how long it can take me just to post the damn results for 'em.

I wonder how long it's been in game time since Jorn last did something?

Around 40 minutes, I think.

Quote from: Jorn's last action results
Jorn Darkmane

After ceaselessly chanting away for close to an hour straight, Jorn eventually decides that it would probably be best to move things along and send the apparition off on its not-so-merry way, so that both he and the family can finally put all this terrible ghost battling business to rest...

Of course, if it were that simple, said apparition would have been long gone by now.

For what should be fairly obvious reasons, the ghost is quite adamant about keeping itself outside and away from the infernal realm of the damned. And, for roughly the past hour, it has been devoting every last iota of energy it can muster to doing just that; latching doggedly onto the fabric of the earthly plane, and resisting the unremitting power of the Chosen One's dark, banishing magics. If Jorn plans on ridding the house of this malevolent soul anytime soon, he'll have to figure out a way to buff up the potency of his dramatic yet as of right now insufficient ritual. Otherwise, the ghost may just prove formidable enough to outlast even the most determined of the warlock's efforts.

Idly standing around trying to figure out how to get rid of that gosh-darned ghost, I'd guess.

It's kind of standoffish ain't it? I'll have to fix that. Somehow.

I would highly recommend doing so, yes. There are few situations in this world more awkward than being invited into someone's home to banish a ghost, only to end up doing a half-assed job and having to spend the rest of your time unresponsively loafing about.

Moderator gets asked to banish a ghost

The Moderator strides up to the house, sniffing at the air like it was any different than the previous three attempts to find the damn house. The Moderator strolls up to the door whistling a jaunty tune. When he arrives he knocks on the door to be greeted by a tired looking woman.

"Ghost possession?"
The lady nods.
"5 minutes until I come in, I suggest everything not insured comes out at a safe distance."

5 minutes later...

The lady places down her scrapbook, as she looks at the mysterious man heft up a blue-silver tube and slot in a football shaped object in one end.

"What is that?" the lady asks, concern in her tone.
"an outdoor toy" he says as it launches right out the end to shoot right for a window. Two seconds later, the house explodes in a massive green fireball, annihilating anything that is touched by the alien fire.

and THAT is how you use Blaster Launchers in ghost annihilation. Because there is the right way, the wrong way and the Moderator Way

The Moderator one mostly being parts of wrong and right combined with overkill.

Most everything is weak to point-blank annihilation.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I especially enjoy this little anecdote, as I often wonder how different Chosen Ones would handle themselves in the situations that their fellow participants end up in.
